Jacqueline Connally, 22, a former Fulton County, Georgia school bus driver has reportedly been arrested on allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a then 16-year-old male student who attends Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia.

Reportedly, Connally was arrested at her apartment in Union City on charges of misdemeanor sexual assault, but overnight the charge was upgraded to a felony count of sexual battery.

A spokesman for the Fulton County School System said the district acted on a tip from another student about the alleged relationship. The school system spokesperson indicated that Connally, who was in her second year as a driver, was fired after the district learned of the alleged relationship with a male student.

Reportedly, Connally came to the attention of authorities by way of a tip from another student about the alleged relationship.

Connally will make an initial court appearance today.

10/30/09 – Initial Court Appearance

Jacqueline Connally made an initial court appearance on Thursday at which Fulton Magistrate Judge James Altman ordered the sexual battery charge changed to sexual assault owing to Connally’s supervisory position over the student as a bus driver.

Bail for Connally was set at $20,000 and Altman ordered that Connally have no unsupervised contact with anyone under age 18.

A preliminary hearing for Connally was scheduled for November 12th and she was subsequently freed on bond.

Sixto Rocabado Jr, 31, a former bus driver and assistant wrestling coach at Antelope Union High School in Wellton, Arizona was sentenced Thursday in Yuma County Superior Court to 1.5 years in prison with credit for time previously served for sexual abuse of a 15-year-old female student.

Rocabado was arrested on February, 27th 2009 on multiple charges includeding aggravated assault, custodial interference, kidnapping, sexual abuse and sexual assault. Bail was set in excess of $200,000, which Rocabado made on March 27th and he was released from the Yuma County Jail.

On August 27th, Rocabado pleaded guilty to sexual abuse and luring counts in a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Rocabado came to the attention of authorities when the victim’s parents complained about inappropriate messages left by Rocabado on their daughter’s MySpace Web page.

Once out of prison, Rocabado will be on probation for the rest of his life and will be required to register as a sex offender.

Bob Epley, 56, a Nashville, Tennessee Metro Schools’ Bus Driver Supervisor was arrested over the weekend following his indictment by the Davidson County Grand Jury on three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

The indictment alleges that on separate occasions since October, 2008 that Epley hired at least three children whose ages are 9, 14 and 15, to place him in a stranglehold with their legs in order to create an auto-erotic sensation.

It is further alleged that Epley video taped the encounters with the children at the Ashland Hills apartment complex in Donelson.

Reportedly, school officials have indicated that Epley verbally resigned Monday morning.

Epley remained in jail Monday, in lieu of $75,000 bond.

Police have indicated that they believe there may be other victims and ask that anyone with knowledge of Epley’s dealings with children is urged to contact the police department’s Sex Crimes Unit at 862-7540.

The other two cases are those of Donelson Middle School teacher Ronald Boykin and Ronald B. Anderson, executive principal of Kennedy Middle in Antioch, Tennessee.
