Matthew Herrmann, 35, a former reading and Spanish teacher at St. Dominic School in Delhi Township, Ohio has reportedly been arrested on allegations engaging in sexual conduct with a 13-year-old female student, exchanging nude photographs with a 14-year-old girl and “sexting” both girls.
Reportedly, Herrmann is charged with sexual battery, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance.
It is alleged that Herrmann directed a 14-year-old girl to take nude photographs of her herself and send them to him over the computer and that he also took nude photos of himself and sent them to the victim over his computer.
It is further alleged that Herrmann engaged in sexual conduct with a 13-year-old female at the school earlier this month.
It is also alleged that Herrmann exchanged several text messages of a sexual nature with both girls.

Robert Mark Fickenscher, 57, a chemistry teacher at Madison High School, in Madison, Ohio has reportedly been arrested on allegations of attempting to solicit sex from what he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.
Fickenscher was arrested during a teaching symposium at Harvey High School on a warrant from the Pennsylvania Attorney General Child Predator Unit.
It is alleged that Fickenscher and the undercover agent posting as the girl met in a chat room and were speaking between April and July and that Fickenscher and “the girl” planned to meet in the Erie area.
Fickenscher faces extradition to Pennsylvania to face a total of five charges, including attempted unlawful conduct with a minor and criminal use of a communication facility.
Fickenscher has reportedly been placed on paid administrative leave by the school system.
11/06/09 – Case Update
A press release from the office of Pensylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett reveals new information on the allegations and charges against Robert Fickenscher.
Howard Kaplan, 57, a former math teacher at Western Reserve Academy, in Hudson, Ohio has been charged with nine counts of importuning and 1 count of possession of criminal tools.
Kaplan was arrested and indicted as the result of an internet sex sting conducted by officers with the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
It is alleged that Kaplan began chatting with the undercover agent posing as a 12-year-old girl in May and continued until August 21. On August 23 search warrants were executed on his home and office, located on the academy campus, and Kaplan was arrested following the search.
Reportedly, since his arrest Kaplan has been “released” by the school.
At last report Kaplan is in the Cuyahoga County jail and no mention of bail has been made.
He will be arraigned in September.
Update 9/01/07:
Reportedly Kaplan has been freed on $10,000 bail.
News reports indicate that Kaplan voluntarily left the employ of the academy after his arrest and that he and his wife have vacated campus housing.
Kaplan is scheduled for arraignment on September 12th.

Salvatore Magro, 51, a former religion and social studies teacher at Our Lady of Victory in Cincinnati, Ohio has reportedly been arrested on allegations of the sexual abuse of a 15-year-old girl.
Reportedly, Magro was arrested Monday on a charge of unlawful sexual contact with a minor and following his arrest was subsequently released on $5,000 bond conditioned upon no contact with the alleged victim.
Magro was re-arrested and jailed on Tuesday night when the mother of the alleged victim called police to report that Magro was allegedly sending the girl e-mails urging her to run off with him.
On Wednesday morning, Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Duane Mallory revoked Magro’s $5,000 bond and ordered him held in jail on a $1 million bond.
Reportedly, Magro came to the attention of Delhi Township Police after the girl’s mother became suspicions of sexual contact between her Magro and her daughter. Police say that the alleged victim opened up to detectives in an interview Monday at the school and Magro allegedly later confessed at the police station.

James Zaborowski, 43, a math and science teacher at Urbana High School in Urbana, Ohio has reportedly been indicted by a Champaign County grand jury on 35 charges including charges of sexually pandering, importuning, possession of criminal tools and tampering with evidence.
The investigation for the case began after Urbana police received a criminal complaint in March of 2009, alleging an inappropriate relationship between Zaborowski and a student at Urbana High School.
Reportedly, Zaborowski was placed on paid administrative leave by the school system at that time. He subsequently returned to the class room.
Urbana police received and served a court-ordered search warrant at the Zaborowski home in April of 2009.
Reportedly and according to the UPD, BCI analysis found multiple images of child pornography on Zaborowski’s computer, as well as e-mail requests for sexual contact with an Urbana High School student.

Melanie K. Yusko, 22, a Kent State University student who did her student teaching at Southeast High School in Ravenna, Ohio has reportedly been arrested on allegations of engaging in sexual conduct with a 15-year-old male student.
Reportedly, Yusko was indicted last week by a Portage County grand jury on one count of sexual battery which is a third-degree felony.
Yusko came to the attention of the Portage County Sheriff’s Office after the student reportedly told a friend of the alleged sexual encounter with Yusko. A school system spokesperson indicated that once school officials learned of the alleged incident that Yusko was interviewed and sent home. Reportedly school officials contacted the sheriff’s office, childrens’ service and Kent State University.
The indictment alleges the sexual encounter took place on April 7th and that it occurred away from the school.
