Jatten Heinen, 20, a former daycare worker in Fargo, North Dakota already facing five felony counts on allegations of molesting young girls in his care has been charged with sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl at another daycare.

Heinen has been charged with gross sexual imposition on allegations that he touched the girl’s “private parts” with a child’s toy. The girl told her mother of the alleged abuse in March of this year. The improper touching is alleged to have occurred between September 2005 and December 2006.
Heinen is currently free on $50,000 bond on charges felony charges accusing him of inappropriately touching four young girls, ages 6 to 8-years-old at a YMCA daycare last year.
Reportedly an arrest warrant has been issued for Heinen and prosecutors who are seeking an additional bond on the new charge are hoping for Heinen’s voluntary surrender.
09/05/08 - Jatten Heinen Found Not Guilty
After about five hours of deliberation a jury has found Jatten Heinen not guilty on all five felony charges that he faced.
Heinen’s defense attorneys argued to jurors that verdicts of not guilty were the only ones that make sense while the prosecution told jurors that the children had no motive to lie.
Heinen still faces a separate charge of felony gross sexual imposition. It is alleged that he molested a young girl at a separate day care between September 2005 and December 2006. A preliminary hearing in that case is set for September 11th. Heinen is free on bond in that case.
