Keri Ann Brekne, (Keriann Brekne) 28, a seventh-grade social studies teacher at Lopatcong Township Middle School in Phillipsburg, New Jersey has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

The sexual assault is alleged to have occurred at the teacher’s home in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and at the girl’s home in Lopatcong Township in New Jersey.

Brekne is charged in Pennsylvania with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors and was being held in lieu of 10 percent of $75,000 bail.

Brekne is charged in New Jersey with second-degree sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual conduct, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact. Her bond in New Jersey is set at $150,000.

1/29/08 - Arraignment

Brekene was arraigned Monday in New Jersey.

Brekene’s attorney indicates that he has filed a bail reduction motion in an attempt to get the $150,000 bail in New Jersey reduced. Brekene’s bail in Pennsylvania is 10 percent of $75,000.

2/21/08 - Suspension

Keri Ann Brekne has been suspended with pay by the township school board with the suspension retroactive to January 23, the day of her arrest.

2/29/08 - Guilty Plea

Keriann Brekne agreed today to plead guilty to five counts of aggravated indecent assault in Pennsylvania.

Brenke’s attorney says he client agreed to the plea to spare the girl from testifying.

Reportedly she will plead guilty to similar offenses in New Jersey next month.

Donita Brady, 50, a physical education and language arts at Breckenridge Middle School and Breckenridge High School in Breckenridge, Michigan has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a 15-year-old female student.

Brady is charged with five counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct involving digital penetration or oral sex and two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct involving sexual contact.

Brady who is free after posting a $1,000 bond is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 16.

04/17/08 - Brady Bound Over for Trial

Donita Brady has been bound over to Circuit Court after waiving her preliminary hearing in Gratiot County District Court.

She will be arraigned on May 5th.

05/05/08 - Arraignment Waived

Donita Brady has waved her arraignment.

Brady who faces up to life in prison in convicted of all charges remains free on $1,000 bond.

Her trial is set for July 2nd.

06/16/08 - Trial Delayed Two Months

The trial of Donita Brady originally set for July 2nd has been postponed until September 3rd.

The delay is owing to “new discovery” items that Brady’s lawyers want more information on.

Brady remains free on $1,000 bond.

07/23/08 - Defense Motion For Records Denied

The court has denied a defense motion seeking a review of the medical records of the alleged victim.

The defense wanted to either review the records or have the court review them to determine if they contained any information that might aide in defending Brady against the charges she faces.

08/18/08 - No Contest Pleas

The Mount Pleasant Morning Sun has reported that Donita Brady has entered no contest pleas on seven counts of gross indecency between females.

Sentencing is set for October 20th.

10/20/08 - Sentencing

Donita Brady has been sentenced to one year in jail to be followed by five years probation.

Brady will be required to register as a sex offender.

(10/20/08 - Initial BadBadTeacher.com Report)

Michael J. Dupont, 42, a seventh grade science teacher at Salamanca Middle School in Salamanca, New York has been arrested and charged with three counts of sodomy in the second degree on allegations of sexual activity with a boy.

It is alleged that sexual activity took place between Dupont and the then 14-year-old boy during April and May of 2002.

In a press release the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department has indicated that more charges are possible against Dupont as the investigation is ongoing.

The sheriff’s department also indicated that there is reason to believe there are several other victims who have not come forward and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department encourages them to do so.

Reportedly, following his Saturday arrest Dupont was being held in the in Cattaraugus County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Ted Thomas Johnson, 48, reportedly a band and fine arts teacher for the Manassas City Public Schools in Manassas, Virginia has been arrested on charges of attempted indecent liberties with a child and misdemeanor sexual battery.

Johnson who reportedly teaches at Osbourn High School and Mayfield Intermediate School was arrested on allegations that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone with information regarding Johnson call 540-658-4450

Ted Johnson is initially being held without bond.

2/29/08 - Move Alleged Victims Come Forward

Two more girls, ages 12 and 13, have come forward accusing Johnson of sexually abusing them.

None of the three alleged female victims were students of Johnson’s.

Johnson faces two additional counts of aggravated sexual assault and two additional counts of custodial indecent liberties with a child bringing the total number of counts against him to six.

05/29/08 - Trial Date Set

An October 15th trial date has been set for Ted Johnson.

10/17/08 - Guilty Plea

On October 15th, Ted Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of attempted custodial indecent liberties with a child.

As part of the plea deal, three other charges were dropped.

Following his guilty plea, Ted Johnson was remanded to jail to await sentencing on December 15th.

Stephanie Diane Harris, 27, a former teacher at Marble City Schools in Marble City, Oklahoma has been arrested on allegations that she had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old male student.

The alleged victim has told investigators that Harris began text messaging him during the month of June. The boy says that on June 24th Harris text messaged the boy, asking him if he would have sex with her. The boy reportedly agreed and began walking down the road. It is alleged that Harris picked him up and took him to her residence where it is alleged they had sex. Allegedly after the sexual encounter Harris took the boy back to Marble City and let him out of the vehicle to walk home.

It is further alleged that between June and August, Harris sent the boy five photographs of herself in a text message. Allegedly the photos were of Harris’ vaginal area, her nude breasts, and one of her breasts while wearing a bra or bathing suit top. Additionally it is alleged that Harris sent the boy text messages which were sexual in nature.

Reportedly Harris asked the boy to send photographs of his genitals, which he has told investigators that he did.

Court records indicate that Harris has been charged with first-degree rape and three counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.

Harris reportedly turned herself into police upon learning an arrest warrant for first-degree rape had been issued for her. After being booked into the Sequoyah County Jail Harris was released on $35,000 bond.

Reportedly the boy’s cell phone has been examined by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and it is alleged that investigators were able to retrieve messages and photos from the phone.

Reportedly Harris came to the attention of authorities by way of notification from the alleged victim himself.

Harris is reportedly no longer employed by the school district having resigned after being suspended.

10/11/08 - Preliminary Hearing Scheduled

Stephanie Diane Harris will have a preliminary hearing on December 8th at which time it will be determined if there is probable cause for the case to proceed with a jury trial.

Harris remains free on $35,000 bond.
