(4/01/08 - Initial BBT Report)

Michael J. Wetzell, 31, the former Dean of Students at Litchfield High School in Litchfield, Illinois was arrested last week on charges of criminal sexual assault, a felony, and unlawful delivery of alcohol to a child, a misdemeanor.

Following his arrest, Wetzell was held in the Montgomery County Jail on $100,000 bond. On-line records do not indicate Wetzell remains jailed, suggesting he made bond.

If convicted, Wetzell faces a mandatory prison sentence ranging from 4 to 15 years.

Detailed information on this case and alleged victim is not currently available, however we will keep digging in the effort to provide additional info.

4/02/08 - Additional Information

KSDK is reporting that Mike Wetzell is a former police officer with the Rock Falls Police Department. The report provides additional information on this case and confirms that Wetzell has been released on bond. Please see the detailed KSDK report, a link to which follows.

10/27/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Online court records indicate that today Mike Wetzell pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal sexual assault in Montgomery County Court and was sentenced to five years in prison. A charge of unlawful delivery of alcohol to a child was dismissed as part of the plea deal. Wetzell was accessed fines and court costs of $5862.70.

Court records also indicated that on 10/23/08 Wetzell pleaded guilty in Henry County Court to a charge of aggravated battery in a public place and was sentenced to five years in prison and accessed court costs only.

Wetzell will be required to register as a sex offender.

Clint Daniel Bouscher, 30, reportedly an English teacher and school bus driver at DeWitt High School in DeWitt, Arkansas has been arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault.

News reports indicate that the alleged victim is younger than 18-years-old and is a student in the DeWitt school district.

No other information on the alleged victim is available at this time.

Following his arrest by Arkansas State Police last Wednesday, Bouscher was being held in lieu of $150,000 secured bail.

10/22/08 - More Information Comes Available

Reportedly the victim is in bouscher’s 9th-grade English class.

Bouscher was suspended by the school district earlier this month.

(3/04/08 - Initial BBT Report)

Jason Paul Stubbs, 27, a forestry and horticulture teacher at Henley High School in Klamath Falls, Oregon has been arrested on allegations of sexual misconduct with a student.

Stubbs is facing charges of harassment, official misconduct and third degree sexual abuse, all misdemeanors carrying a maximum one year jail sentence.

It is alleged that inappropriate touching occurred between the Stubbs and the student.

Stubbs came to the attention of authorities by way of complaint from the alleged victim’s parents.

Stubbs who was released on bond following his arrest, has been on administrative leave from the school system since the allegations surfaced.

3/19/08 - Not Guilty Plea

Jason Stubbs entered not guilty pleas to all charges during a court hearing Tuesday.

His next court appearance is set for mid-April.

10/17/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing

In a plea deal with prosecutors Jason Stubbs has pleaded guilty to a single count of official misconduct. In exchange for the plea, charges of sex abuse and harassment were dismissed.

Stubbs was sentenced to six and a half years probation, 80 hours of community service, ordered to surrender his teaching license and to comply with state requirements regarding his children.
