Tyrone Forbes, 49, choir director at Seven Hills Charter School in Worcester, Massachusetts has been arrested and charged with statutory rape on allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

Forbes came to the attention of police when an officer on patrol allegedly discovered Forbes and the boy in a pickup truck in a parking lot at 1:30 am Thursday.

In questioning the two, officers determined that Forbes and the boy were allegedly in a sexual relationship which had been ongoing since November.

Reportedly Forbes is a friend of the boy’s family.

Forbes is charged with seven counts of rape of a child.

At an initial appearance in court Forbes was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail. If Forbes makes bail he is to have no contact with the boy.

Police indicate that in addition to being choir director at the school Forbes is also a pastor at the Mount Sinia Church of God in Christ in Worcester.

05/14/08 - Arraignment

Tyrone Forbes has been arraigned on three counts of unnatural statutory rape of a child after being indicted recently by a grand jury.

Forbes entered a not guilty plea to the charges.

A grand jury handed up indictments on April 25 charging Forbes with three counts of unnatural statutory rape. This moved the case to Worcester Superior Court and resulted in the second arraignment.

Bond for Forbes was continued at $5,000.

Forbes’ attorney requested and received $1,500 from the budget of the state Committee for Public counsel Services to hire a forensic psychologist saying Forbes mental state could become a critical issue at trial.

The next court date for Forbes is currently set for June 6th.

10/24/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Today Tyrone Forbes pleaded guilty to child rape charges.

Forbes was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 2 1/2 years in the House of Correction with 18 months to serve and the balance suspended for three years.

Forbes also must serve three years probation, is prohibited contact with the victim and is to have no unsupervised contact with a child under 16 years old.

Forbes must also register as a sex offender, enter into treatment and submit to GPS monitoring

Christopher Parrett, 33, reportedly a teacher at Capital High School in Helena, Montana has been arrested on a warrant issued in Arizona on allegations that he had inappropriate sexual conduct with a male student beginning in 2006.

It is alleged that while a teacher at Kofa High School, in Yuma, Arizona that Parrett engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a male student who was 16 at the time.

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted in response to a “delayed report” received on September 22 of the alleged crimes.

Parrett is charged with sexual conduct with a minor and was being held in jail in Helena, Montana awaiting extradition to Arizona.

10/22/08 - Parrett Released On Bond in Montana

Reportedly Christopher Parrett has been released on bond in Montana.

He is to appear in the court that issued the warrant in Yuma, Arizona where authorities indicated that if he does not show up and turn himself in by the end of October a warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution will be issued.

Michael J. Dupont, 42, a seventh grade science teacher at Salamanca Middle School in Salamanca, New York has been arrested and charged with three counts of sodomy in the second degree on allegations of sexual activity with a boy.

It is alleged that sexual activity took place between Dupont and the then 14-year-old boy during April and May of 2002.

In a press release the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department has indicated that more charges are possible against Dupont as the investigation is ongoing.

The sheriff’s department also indicated that there is reason to believe there are several other victims who have not come forward and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department encourages them to do so.

Reportedly, following his Saturday arrest Dupont was being held in the in Cattaraugus County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Ralph Marcell Hough, 31, a special education aide at Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was arrested and charged Saturday with criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

According to Horry County Police Hough committed sexual battery with the boy at his home back in March.

Hough appeared in court Monday morning and a judge set his bond at $20,000 on the criminal sexual conduct charge.

On Monday afternoon, Horry County Police charged Hough with drug possession. Media reports indicate that Hough says they drugs belonged to his mother.

Update 7/25/07:

Hough posted bail and was released from jail after having a second bond hearing on the drug charge.

04/23/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Today Ralph Marcell Hough pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison for five years for lewd acts against a minor less than 16 years old, according to South Carolina Department of Corrections online records available at the link below.

Hough admitted to only the simulated sexual activities.

Reportedly Hough will be required to register as a sex offender and will be prohibited from working around children.

Richard Young, 68, a debate teacher and coach at Buhler High School in Buhler, Kansas has been arrested and charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of indecent solicitation of a child.

It is alleged that Young had a sexual relationship with a foreign-exchange student in August 2007.

Bond for Young was set at $75,000 and he has an initial court appearance set for tomorrow.

Young who has been suspended with pay since November is the second Buhler High School employee charged with having a sexual relationship with a student this school year. Anthony Coker is the other.

05/01/08 - Charges Upgraded, Preliminary Hearing Set

Prosecutors upgraded the charges to three counts of aggravated indecent liberties, instead of the lesser indecent liberties with a child.

A preliminary hearing is set for June 4th at the request of prosecutors who want to get the testimony of alleged victim on record in case the victim returns to Korea before trial.

06/05/08 - Preliminary Hearing

A preliminary hearing was held for Richard Young and the prosecution presented evidence Richard Young has a history of making sexual advances toward exchange students.

A law enforcement computer expert testified he found 44 websites for gay Asian teenage pornography on Young’s computer that predates August 1st, 2007, the day the accuser arrived in the United States.

Following the preliminary hearing Young was bound over for trial.

His arraignment is set for July 7th.

07/18/08 - Court Hearing

Richard Young appeared for a hearing today and entered a plea of not guilty and requested a jury trial.

A trial date has not been set.

10/17/08 - Guilty Verdict

A Reno County jury has found Richard Young guilty on two counts of taking indecent liberties, one count of aggravated indecent liberties and one count of solicitation of a child.

The jury announced that they believe the judge should be allowed to sentence Young to more prison time than he normally would be allowed to do.
