Stephanie Marie Ragusa, 28, a former teacher at Davidsen Middle School in Tampa, Florida has been arrested and charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious battery on allegations of having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

It is alleged that Ragusa had a sexual relationship with the boy and that she had sex with him five times between Oct. 1, 2006 to May 4, 2007.
The alleged victim was never a student of Ragusa, although he attended Davidsen Middle School when Ragusa taught there.
Ragusa who currently works as a math teacher at Martinez Middle School in Lutz, Florida has been placed on paid administrative leave.
In the wake of her arrest, Ragusa was being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail. A bond hearing has been set for March 19th.
Investigators now say that Ragusa performed oral sex on the boy twice, and allegedly had intercourse with him three other times. It is further alleged that the victim was also able to describe tattoos located on either side of Ragusa’s groin, tattoos which could only be seen if she wasn’t wearing clothes.

William Joseph Seagroves, 34, a former math teacher and assistant track coach at Sullivan Central High School in Blountville, Tennessee has reportedly been indicted on a charge of sexual battery by an authority figure.

The indictment alleges that Seagroves engaged in criminal sexual contact with a 16-year-old female student on May 23, 2008.
Seagroves came to the attention of authorities in October of last year when the alleged victim filed a complaint with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
Seagroves was arrested on April 13th, after the Sullivan County Grand Jury returned a sealed indictment. He was reportedly released on $30,000 bond the same day.
Seagroves, who previously had been a chemical engineer at Nuclear Fuel Services in Erwin, became a math teacher and assistant track coach in January 2006 as part of a state program to bring professionals from other disciplines into the classroom.
Reportedly, Seagroves resigned shortly after the alleged victim’s complaint in October.
10/27/09 – Trial Rescheduled
Earlier this month, the judge set an October 28 court date for William Joseph Seagroves.
Seagroves attorney moved to continue case and the judge set the trial for February 16, 2010.

Mark C. Sorenson, 55, a math teacher at Paramus Catholic High School in Paramus, New Jersey has reportedly been arrested on allegations that he showed photographs of naked women to an underage girl he was tutoring in her home.

Sorenson is reportedly charged with obscenity for persons under 18.
The alleged victim is not a student at Paramus Catholic High School and Sorenson was acting as a privately-hired tutor when the incident allegedly occurred.
Reportedly, Sorenson has been suspended from his teaching job and school officials are cooperating with the investigators.
Judge Donald Venezia set bail for Sorenson at $25,000.00 who was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack following his arrest on Friday.
The judge also ordered Sorenson not to have any contact with the girl.
