Kenneth Shadoan, 30, a algebra and math teacher at Paris High School, in Paris, Kentucky has been arrested on allegations of possession of child pornography.

Reportedly, Shadoan is charged with 25 counts of possession of child pornography.

It is alleged that Shadoan received pictures of a 17-year-old boy in exchange for grades and that those pictures allegedly portrayed a sex performance by a minor.

Shadoan was arrested on Wednesday night and was reportedly being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center on a $50,000 full cash bond.

Shadoan came to the attention of police who received a complaint Monday from a parent who said her 17 year-old son had received “inappropriate communication” from Shadoan.

Police obtained a search warrant for Shadoan’s residence and vehicle and allegedly found and seized evidence to support the 25 counts of possession of child pornography.

A school spokesperson indicated that Shadoan, in his third year at the school, is not a tenured teacher and that his contract would not be renewed at the end of the current school year.

11/10/09 – Guilty Plea

Reportedly, Kenneth Shadoan has pleaded guilty on two counts of possessing one or more matters that contained visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

In addition, Shadoan also pleaded guilty to a forfeiture count which requires him to surrender his computer and associated software.

Sentencing is set for February 11th and Shadoan reportedly faces up to 10 years in federal prison on each count.

Kenneth Shadoan has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Once released from prison, Shadoan will spend a lifetime on supervised release.

Hector Manuel Osuna-Bonilla, 58, a math teacher at Milwaukie High School in Milwaukie, Oregon has reportedly been arrested on allegations of sexually abusing three female students.

Reportedly, Osuna-Bonilla was arrested on six counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of attempted third-degree sexual abuse.

Osuna-Bonilla came to the attention of authorities when school officials contacted Milwaukie Police regarding reports school officials had received from students of sex abuse involving a teacher.

The abuse allegedly began around December 2008 and continued until December 2009.

It is alleged that, while that Osuna-Bonilla didn’t use physical force against his victims, he engaged in sexual activities with girls too young to legally consent. Police have indicated that the alleged acts took place over the course of a year, allegedly occurred at school and during school hours.

Reportedly, Osuna-Bonilla, who was hired in August 2008, has been placed on administrative leave by the school system. Prior to teaching at Milwaukie High School, Osuna-Bonilla was employed by Portland Public Schools and Portland Community College.

Osuna-Bonilla is the second Milwaukie High School math teacher recently accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Previously, Christopher John Klitgord pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree sexual abuse for having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Following his arrest on Friday, Osuna-Bonilla was reportedly being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Jason Scott Brown, 26, a former seventh and eighth grade math teacher and coach at South Middle School in Liberal, Kansas has reportedly been arrested on allegations he improperly touched a teenage girl.

Reportedly, Brown was arrested on three counts of indecent liberties with a child.

It is alleged that between October 1 and November 26 that Brown twice lewdly fondled or touched a child who was less than 14 years old.

It is further alleged that between December 15 through December 18 that Brown again lewdly fondled or touched the same child, who was then 14 years old.

Following an initial court appearance, Brown was reportedly being held at the Seward County Jail on $150,000 bond with his next hearing scheduled for February 24th.

Brown turned in his resignation on January 14 and the Board of Education accepted his letter on January 18.

Stephanie Marie Ragusa, 28, a former teacher at Davidsen Middle School in Tampa, Florida has been arrested and charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious battery on allegations of having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

It is alleged that Ragusa had a sexual relationship with the boy and that she had sex with him five times between Oct. 1, 2006 to May 4, 2007.

The alleged victim was never a student of Ragusa, although he attended Davidsen Middle School when Ragusa taught there.

Ragusa who currently works as a math teacher at Martinez Middle School in Lutz, Florida has been placed on paid administrative leave.

In the wake of her arrest, Ragusa was being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail. A bond hearing has been set for March 19th.

Investigators now say that Ragusa performed oral sex on the boy twice, and allegedly had intercourse with him three other times. It is further alleged that the victim was also able to describe tattoos located on either side of Ragusa’s groin, tattoos which could only be seen if she wasn’t wearing clothes.

Michael Henry Peterson, 55, a math teacher at Ellsworth Community School in Ellsworth, Michigan has reportedly been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female student.

Reportedly, Peterson faces three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

It is alleged that Peterson had sex with the alleged victim in a classroom at the school and again in the student’s home beginning in January.
