Christopher M. French, 28, a special education teacher’s aide at the McCall Middle School in Winchester, Massachusetts has been arrested on a charge of child enticement.

It is alleged that French used the Internet to entice a 13-year-old female student to have sex with him

Reportedly police searched French’s home and obtained evidence which led to his arrest on allegations that he used online conversations in the enticement of the student. Reportedly a second search warrant was served yesterday and a third search warrant was served today.

At his arraignment French pleaded not guilty to one count of child enticement and was released on $5,000 cash bail.

His next court appearance is set for August 8th.

Reportedly French is the son of McCall Middle School Principal Evander French Jr.

10/20/08 – Christopher French Indicted

Christopher French was indicted today on 18 counts including child rape, child enticement, posing a child in a state of nudity, disseminating visual material of a child in a state of nudity, possession of child pornography and dissemination of matter harmful to minors..

French is now accused of sex crimes against six teenage girls and allegedly used web sites like Myspace and Facebook to lure his victims.

French is scheduled for arraignment next Wednesday.

11/05/08 – Arraignment

Christopher French was arraigned today on charges including child rape and posing a child in a state of nudity.

French pleaded not guilty to all charges and was ordered held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

05/22/09 – French Attorney Seeks Removal of GPS Device

Christopher French’s defense attorney Phillip Tracey asked the Middlesex Superior Court Thursday to review whether his client still needs to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet as a condition of his pre-trial probation.

The hearing was postponed until Wednesday, May 27, so the judge who issued the conditions of probation could review the issue.

10/05/09 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Christopher French has reportedly pleaded guilty to multiple counts of child rape, child enticement, and child pornography charges.

Judge Bruce Henry sentenced French to two consecutive sentences of 2.5 years each of confinement at the Billerica House of Correction to be followed by five years probation.

When released from confinement French must register as a sex offender, must undergo sex offender counseling and he is prohibited contact with children under the age of 16.

In addition, French will be prohibited internet use, must be on GPS monitoring and is prohibited from teaching or coaching.

Stanley Z. Levitt, 63, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a former rabbi at Maimonides School in Brookline, Massachusetts has been indicted by a grand jury on child sexual assault charges dating back to the 1970s.

Levitt was indicted on four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person under 14 for allegedly assaulting two then 11-year-old male students in 1975.

According to report by WCVB TV:

One charge stems from a May 1975 incident in which Levitt allegedly visited a Maimonides student who was recuperating at Children’s Hospital in Boston after an accident.

The other three offenses were allegedly committed against a different male student during a three-night visit to Levitt’s Chiswick Road home, also believed to have taken place in 1975.

Levitt came to the attention of authorities when one of the alleged victims contacted Boston police about a year ago, saying Levitt visited him at Children’s Hospital in Boston in May 1975, and that Levitt sexually assaulted him at the hospital.

According to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley, when Levitt left Massachusetts and moved to Pennsylvania in 1980 the statute of limitations clock stopped, leaving Levitt open to being charged over 30 years later.

Levitt is scheduled for arraignment in Suffolk Superior Court on October 17th.

Gregg Woodward an English teacher at Foxboro High School in Foxboro, Massachusetts has been arrested for being in possession of child pornography.

Woodward’s arrest came about through the work of agents assigned to the FBI, Innocent Images Unit (IIU) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Cyber Crimes Unit.

Woodward allegedly purchased access to at least two websites that allegedly distribute child pornography, “The Sick Child Room,” and, “RH Collection.” He allegedly purchased a thirty day subscription to The Sick Child Room on June 21, 2007, and paid $99.95, and on March 16, 2007, he purchased access to RH Collection, paying $94.95 for a thirty day subscription.

Woodward appeared in U.S. District Court this morning, and is scheduled for a probable cause and detention hearing on April 2, 2008 before Magistrate Judge Hillman.

If convicted of the charges Woodward faces a maximum penalty of 10 years’ incarceration, to be followed by 3 years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.

02/02/09 – Guilty Plea

On Friday, Gregg Woodward pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography in federal court.

At the conclusion of the hearing, Woodward had his tie removed and was led out of the courtroom, his hands cuffed behind him.

Woodward was jailed to await formal sentencing on May 7th.

Woodward faces up to 10 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.

09/23/09 – Sentencing

Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV has sentenced Gregg Woodward to 70 months in federal prison for possession of child pornography.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Karin Bell while Woodward was incarcerated in Wyatt Detention facility in Rhode Island following his guilty plea he was distributing to other inmates hand-drawn images depicting the rape and torture of minor children.

Bell also indicated that a search of Woodward’s cell in the protective custody section of the jail in April also turned up a handwritten, illustrated 65-page document of stories and plays focusing on the rape and torture of minor girls by family members.
