James Chase, 69, a sixth and seventh-grade music teacher at Two Rivers Middle School in Covington, Kentucky has been arrested and charged with distribution of material containing a sexual performance by a minor.

It is alleged that Chase had hundreds of images of children engaged in sexual situations on his computer. Several computers were seized from Chase’s home.
Chase came to the attention of police by way of information from Immigration and Customs Enforcement which said that Chase purchased child pornography, as part of a federal investigation called “Operation Flicker”.
Chase has been placed on unpaid administrative leave by the school system.
11/10/08 - Sentencing
In July, James Chase entered a guilty plea and admitted that he used his computer to download more than 3,000 images of child pornography.
Today, James Chase was sentenced to 104 months in prison. He must serve 85% of his prison sentence before eligible for parole.
After his prison sentence, Chase will be on probation for the rest of his life and will be required to register as a sex offender.
