Thomas K. Nolan III, 39, a social sciences teacher and coach of girls’ basketball and golf at Ellenville High School, in Ellenville, New York has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having sex with a 16-year-old female student.

Reportedly, Nolan was arrested on charges of felony rape and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

The Ellenville School District has released a statement indicating that Nolan had been placed on administrative leave.

Thomas Nolan appeared for arraignment in the Town of Fallsburg court and bail was set in the amount of $25,000.

If convicted of the felony count, Nolan could reportedly face between half a year to four years in prison, in addition to having to register as a sex offender.

11/19/09 – Nolan Arrested Again

Reportedly, Thomas K. Nolan III has been charged with multiple misdemeanor counts of second-degree criminal contempt on allegations that he has had unlawful contact with the alleged victim.

Following his latest arrest, Nolan was arraigned and sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail pending further court action.

Robert Walter “Bob” Bopp, hockey coach at Grosse Pointe South High School in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan has reportedly been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a teenage boy in July, 2008.

Bopp and James Ryan McBee, 19, were arraigned on three counts of felony child sexually abusive activity, one felony count of distributing sexually explicit matter to children and a misdemeanor charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to a press released from Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

It is alleged that Bopp and McBee lured a then 15-year-old Farmington Hills boy to Bopp’s home in Taylor last July and it is further alleged that Bopp plied the boy with alcohol and pornographic pictures and then both men sexually assaulted him.

According to police, the alleged victim is not one of Bopp’s players.

It is further alleged that When Farmington Hills Police, Taylor Police and federal agents arrested Bopp and searched his home in Taylor, Michigan they found a huge stash of pictures and videos with kids involved in sex acts.

At arraignment, both Bopp and McBee reportedly stood mute and District Court. Judge William Sutherland entered pleas of not guilty for both of them.

Bopp, who has reportedly been the head coach at Grosse Pointe South for 16 years and lead the team to a state championship in 2007, has reportedly been suspended by the school.

Both men were reportedly held without bond following arraignment.

Bopp’s next court appearance is reportedly set for June 27th.

07/30/09 – Preliminary Hearing

At the conclusion of the preliminary hearing for Robert Bopp, District Court Judge William Sutherland found probable cause and bound Bopp over to circuit court on multiple counts of sexual assault and child pornography.

James R. McBee was also bound over to circuit court.

Arraignment in circuit court is set for August 6th for both of the accused who are being held without bond in a Wayne County jail.

11/04/09 – Prosecutor Announces Plea Deal

According to prosecutors speaking after a pretrial hearing, Robert Bopp is expected to plead guilty to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and be sentenced to 17 1/2 to 30 years in prison.

According to Christopher Andreoff, Bopp’s attorney, Bopp is expected to be charged in federal court on the same matter and a plea agreement in that case is being discussed.

11/19/09 – Guilty Plea

Reportedly, Robert Bopp has pleaded guilty in federal court to two counts of producing child pornography and one count of attempting to produce child pornography.

The charges to which Bopp pleaded guilty carry a minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison and as part of the federal charges, Bopp is expected to forfeit his home and his 2008 Ford Escape, both allegedly used to commit his crimes.

Robert C. Hawkins, a former math teacher at Council Rock South High School in in Holland, Pennsylvania has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having sex with a 17-year-old female student.

Hawkins has reportedly been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of a minor.

It is alleged that Hawkins engaged in a five-month sexual relationship with the girl. It is further alleged that the two engaged in sex numerous times at Hawkins’ home, from December to April

It is also alleged that Hawkins had showed the girl sexually explicit pictures on his laptop of another female student at Council Rock South.

Some news media reports indicate that Hawkins came to the attention of authorities when the alleged victim contacted police in late June.

Other reports indicate that a friend of the girl alerted authorities who then started an investigation into the allegations.

Following his arrest, Hawkins was released after posting bail in the amount of 10 percent of $500,000. His bail is conditioned upon his not having contact with the alleged victim or any other minors and he must stay away from all Council Rock schools.

Reportedly, the school district fired Hawkins after the girl contacted police in June.

Investigators say that several Council Rock South teachers were aware of the alleged relationship between Hawkins and the girl and that they looked the other way. As a result, one teacher resigned and two more teachers have been suspended and are facing termination.

If convicted, Hawkins could be sentenced more than seven years in prison.

11/18/09 – Guilty Plea

Reportedly, Robert Hawkins has pleaded guilty to one felony count of endangering the welfare of children and one misdemeanor count of corrupting minors.

The felony count carries a maximum sentence of up to seven years in prison.

Reportedly, Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Schorn asked Hawkins whether other teachers had known, but failed to disclose to authorities, Hawkins’ relationship with the gir and whether other teachers had helped him cover up his crimes. Hawkins refused to answer the questions, asserting his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
