Tammy Renee Clinton, 39, a 6th grade geography teacher at Farnell Middle School in Tampa, Florida has reportedly been arrested on allegations that she forced a 14-year-old student to touch her inappropriately.

Reportedly, Clinton has been charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct.

It is alleged that Clinton forced the victim to touch her on three different occasions with the most recent alleged incident occurring Thursday. It is further alleged that Clinton forced the boy to touch her breasts with his hand as she fondled his buttocks while the two were on school grounds.

According to police, the improper relationship began last month and continued until Clinton allegedly attempted to lure the boy off school property so she could perform sexual acts on him.

Clinton came to the attention of authorities when the alleged victim confided about the situation to a teacher Tuesday at the end of the school day. The teacher told the school’s administration which in turn contacted the sheriff’s office.

Reportedly, Clinton was booked at Orient Road Jail and it is alleged that, after being read her Miranda rights, she told detectives the accusations were true.

Bail for Clinton has reportedly been set at $30,000.

Clinton is on paid administrative leave from the district until the investigation is complete. She is not allowed to be on any school grounds.

Stephanie Marie Ragusa, 28, a former teacher at Davidsen Middle School in Tampa, Florida has been arrested and charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious battery on allegations of having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

It is alleged that Ragusa had a sexual relationship with the boy and that she had sex with him five times between Oct. 1, 2006 to May 4, 2007.

The alleged victim was never a student of Ragusa, although he attended Davidsen Middle School when Ragusa taught there.

Ragusa who currently works as a math teacher at Martinez Middle School in Lutz, Florida has been placed on paid administrative leave.

In the wake of her arrest, Ragusa was being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail. A bond hearing has been set for March 19th.

Investigators now say that Ragusa performed oral sex on the boy twice, and allegedly had intercourse with him three other times. It is further alleged that the victim was also able to describe tattoos located on either side of Ragusa’s groin, tattoos which could only be seen if she wasn’t wearing clothes.

Abigail Lee Nichols, 24, a former history teacher at Meadowbrook Academy in Ocala, Florida has reportedly been arrested on allegations of inappropriate behavior with at least two male students.

Reportedly, Nichols is initially charged with one count of lewd and lascivious molestation.

Nichols came to the attention of authorities when a woman told an officer there was a rumor at the school suggesting that last summer Nichols had performed oral sex on the woman’s 16-year-old son.

During the course of the investigation, police interviewed male students, two of which allegedly told investigators that they had sexual contact with Nichols.

The 16-year-old allegedly told investigators that Nichols performed oral on upon him.

A second boy, 15-years-old, allegedly told investigators that Nichols had let him touch her breast.

Reportedly, Nichols is no longer with the school, as her contract was not renewed at the end of the 2009 school year.

Christy Lynn Martin, 32, a teacher at Azalea Middle School in St. Petersburg, Florida has been arrested on allegations that she sent pornographic pictures via cell phone to a 14-year-old male student.

Martin is charged with one count each of transmitting pornographic images through an electric device and transmitting material harmful to a minor.

Reportedly Martin came to the attention of police when the eighth-grader told an adult relative about his alleged relationship with Martin and that relative told the boy’s mother, who in turn notified the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Allegedly, Martin has admitted to police that she sent nude photos of herself to the boy who in return, sent a picture of himself to her.

Martin was booked into the Pinellas County Jail shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday and was subsequently released on $20,000 bail on Sunday.

04/13/09 – Search Warrant Detailed

When police sought a search warrant in the case of Christy Lynn Martin it was alleged that Christy Lynn Martin and the boy called each other “husband” and “wife,” kissed each other and apparently sent each other cell phone photos of their private parts.

Police also indicated that Martin and the boy did not have sex and did not see each other outside of school.

02/02/10 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Reportedly, Christy Lynn Martin has pleaded guilty to transmitting pornographic images through an electronic device and transmitting material harmful to a minor.

Martin, who faced up to ten years in prison if convicted at trial, was sentenced to five years probation.

In addition to her probation, Martin will have to register as a sex offender, wear an electronic monitor and go through a sex offender treatment program.

April Burford Watson, 33, a math teacher junior varsity cheerleader adviser at Jay High School in Jay, Florida along with fellow teacher Ashley Elenea Burkett has been arrested on allegations of having sex with male juveniles in the teachers’ homes during 2007.

Both Watson and Burkett turned themselves in today and were reportedly booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail on three counts each of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a second degree felony and were subsequently released on $50,000 bond each.

Watson and Burkett came to the attention of authorities on July 28, 2009 after an anonymous letter was sent to the Santa Rosa County School District alleging sexual relationships between two Jay High School teachers and male juveniles. School officials turned the information over to the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office for investigation.

Reportedly, two of the boys alleged that they were involved in sexual activity with Watson at her residence and the residence of Burkett between the months of July and October 2007. One other victim alleged that he was involved in sexual activity with Burkett at her residence and the residence of Watson between the months of July and October 2007.

Sheriff’s investigators say that both of the suspects were questioned and that they both admitted to the alleged unlawful sexual activity.

Both Watson and Burkett were outfitted with GPS tracking devices when released on bond.

01/27/10 – No Contest Plea

Reportedly, both April Burford Watson and Ashley Elenea Burkett have entered pleas of no contest to three counts of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.

Both women are facing a minimum sentence of 33 months in prison.

Sentencing is set for April 14th.
