Agostinho Loiola Mar Rodrigues, 50, a former TV media teacher and boys’ soccer coach at Edgewater High School in Orange County, Florida has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having sexual contact with a then 14-year-old female student.
Reportedly, Rodrigues was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service at his home about 2 p.m. on charges of sexual battery to a minor, unlawful sexual activity with a minor and two counts of lewd or lascivious battery to a minor.
It is alleged that between November 25 and December 28, 2009 that Rodrigues had inappropriate and unlawful sexual contact with the girl on three occasions with all three incidents alleged to have occurred in the Edgewater High School gym while school was not in session.
Rodrigues was booked into the Orange County Jail on Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday an Orange County judge denied a bond request.

Karolyn Nagel, 24, a former earth science teacher at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida has bee arrested on felony charges of computer pornography and traveling to meet a minor.
It is alleged that Nagel exchanged thousands of text messages with the 17-year-old male student, that she used text messages to facilitate unlawful sexual behavior with the student and traveled to have sex with him.
According to a probable cause affidavit it is alleged that during an overnight school trip to Orlando, Nagel sent the boy a text message saying, “I want to kiss you right now”. The affidavit goes on to indicate that the boy responded with a text message saying, “me too I want to make love right now” and that Nagel responded, “”me too I want you so bad”.
Nagel came to the attention of authorities in November, 2008 when the Leon County Sheriff’s Office was advised by the Department of Children and Families of a complaint they had received alleging that Karolyn Nagel was possibly sexually involved with a 17-year-old student. Nagel and the boy were interviewed at that time and both denied any inappropriate relationship existed.

Craig Scott Meyer, 42, currently a teacher at Millennium Middle School and previously a teacher at Seminole High School, both in Sanford, Florida has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having a sexual relationship with a then 15-year-old female student.
Reportedly, Meyer is charged with 17 counts of sex offenses against a child, specifically lewd or lascivious battery.
Following his arrest, Meyer was reportedly released from the Seminole County Jail late Thursday on an $11,600 bond.
It is alleged that Meyer had sex with the girl on 17 occasions during the 2006-2007 school year, while Meyer was a teacher at Seminole High School.
Meyer came to the attention of police in late June when the alleged victim came forward indicating that Meyer had a sexual relationship with her four years earlier. Police interviewed the alleged victim and she told investigators of numerous alleged sexual encounters between Meyer and herself both at the school and at her home.
Meyer has reportedly been suspended by the school system.

Omar Davis Curry, 30, a social-studies teacher and girls basketball coach at Belleview High School in Belleview, Florida has been arrested and charged with sexual battery of a 15-year-old female student.
Allegedly Curry called the girl, who was a basketball player, out of class Thursday to speak with her in the locker room.
It is further alleged that, in the girls’ locker room, that Curry allegedly sexually battered the girl.
Investigators have been quoted as saying that Curry allegedly removed the girl’s clothes and performed oral sex upon her.
Reportedly, the alleged victim confided in friends regarding the incident on Friday and on Monday and the reported the alleged incident to school officials on Monday.
Curry was reportedly arrested at the school.
Curry was hired by the school in August, 2007 and prior to working at Belleview he reportedly served as a substitute teacher at Lyman High School in Seminole County.
Reportedly Curry was being held in the Marion County Jail on Monday afternoon in lieu of $20,000 bond.
02/12/09 – Another Alleged Victim and More Charges

On Monday, Chad Stoffel a former music and math teacher at Summit Christian School in West Palm Beach, Florida in a plea deal with prosecutors pleaded guilty, “in his best interest”, to a felony charge of lewd and lascivious molestation in exchange for a term of five years probation, including the first two years on sex-offender probation. Within minutes, Stoffel’s guilty plea was tossed out as the plea deal fell apart.
Stoffel came to the attention of authorities when he allegedly told a counselor at a religious retreat in Memphis that he had molested several boys in South Florida, including a 14-15 year old at Summit Christian School and a 16-year-old at Wellington Christian School.
It is also alleged that Stoffel also reported himself to the Florida Abuse Hotline and that when interviewed by a police detective in 2006 that Stoffel confessed to the allegations. It has been reported that investigators have a tape of Stoffel admitting the molestations in a call to an abuse hot line.
Stoffel, charged with the molestation of the two boys, resigned from the school in 2005. He had been a teacher there for five years at the time of his resignation.
Under yesterday’s failed plea deal, prosecutors would have dropped several felony counts. This in part because the then 16-year-old second victim was uncooperative. The then 14-15-year old victim and his mother were reportedly supportive of the the plea deal, which ultimately failed.

Donald Earl Irvin III, 32, the theater technical director at St. Edward’s Upper School in Vero Beach, Florida has reportedly been arrested on allegations he had sex repeatedly with a 16-year-old female student on the school campus.
Reportedly, Irvin was arrested on campus and charged with two counts of sexual battery in familial or custodial relationship.
Irvin came to the attention of authorities when the parents of the alleged victim contacted the Sheriff’s Office after seeing possibly inappropriate text messages allegedly between the girl and Irvin.
It is alleged that the girl indicated that on May 7, she and Irvin were the only ones left at the school after a play. She said that they were “joking” about sex and then started kissing and subsequently ended up having sex in the office of the school’s theater.
It is further alleged that the girl told investigators that she and Irvin have had sex five times, all on school property and that the last time was on June 3rd.
Irvin made an initial court appearance via closed circuit television on Friday morning at which time bail was set in the amount of $100,000.
Irvin is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges July 16 in Indian River Circuit Court.
