Ashley Herre-Bagwell, 29, a former 10th-grade English teacher at Monessen High School in Monessen, Pennsylvania has reportedly been arrested on allegations that she had sexual contact with at least three female students.
Reportedly, Herre-Bagwell is charged with contact/communication with a minor-sexual offenses, criminal attempt, criminal use of a communication facility, and corruption of minors.
Herre-Bagwell came to the attention of authorities after the mother of one of the alleged victims noticed the many phone calls and text messages from online records, and contacted the teacher before notifying school officials. Reportedly, the woman told the teacher to stop contacting her daughter or she would contact school administrators, which she subsequently did.
The criminal complaint alleges that Herre-Bagwell in October started texting how pretty the girl was and that the two should engage in sexual contact. It is further alleged that Herre-Bagwell told another alleged victim that she was in love with her.
Some of the sexual encounters are alleged to have happened inside of a locked classroom during school hours
Following her arrest, Herre-Bagwell posted $7,500 bail and was released with a preliminary hearing on the charges scheduled for Friday.
Reportedly, Herre-Bagwell, who had been employed with the school system for six years, was fired in June.

Calvin Clifford Collum II, 47, an English teacher at Sleepy Eye High School in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota has been arrested on allegations of having sexual contact with a 16-year-old female student.
Collum was arrested on a charge of Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct involving a person in position of authority.
It is alleged that Collum engaged in an improper relationship with the 16-year-old female student between February 1 and March 10, 2009.
Collum came to the attention of authorities after classmates of the girl noticed that Collum and the student spending a significant amount of time together. Classmates also reported that the girl had plans to move to Connecticut and raise a family with Collum once she turned 19.
Reportedly, the alleged victim admitted to having sex with Collum at his residence within the past two weeks. It is further alleged that on more than one occasion, the girl asked her friends to cover for her so she could spend the weekend at Collum’s residence.
Collum has reportedly been suspended with pay by the school system.
Following his arraignment on Thursday, Collum was freed on bond.
Collum’s next court date is set for March 24th.

Carl Mitchel Testerman, 43, an English teacher at Vanden High School in Fairfield, California has reportedly been arrested on allegations of child molestation.
Reportedly, Testerman was booked into the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of eight counts of sexual battery, three counts of sexual battery with force and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child under 14 years of age.
It is alleged that the sexual abuse took place in Davis, California and began in July 2009.
Testerman came to the attention of authorities after one alleged victim confided in a relative about inappropriate acts allegedly committed by Testerman. That relative contacted police earlier this month and upon investigation police discovered another alleged victim.
The two alleged victims are reportedly between the ages of 10 to 17 and are not students of Testerman.
Following his arrest, Testerman was reportedly being held in Yolo County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

Christie Elliot, 25, an English teacher and cheer squad coach at Empire High School in Vail, Arizona has reportedly been arrested on allegations of a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student.
Reportedly, Elliot was booked into the Pima County jail on charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and sexual conduct with a minor.
A Tucson police spokesperson stated that a parent found innappropriate messages on his child’s cell phone and reported the messages to the school because it was believed the message were from his English teacher. It is alleged that some of the messages referred to kissing and the “need to be more careful”.
A police investigation included executing search warrants and conducting interviews and concluded that the boy had an inappropriate sexual relationship with his English teacher, Christie Elliot.
On Monday, Elliot turned herself in to Tucson police as a result of the three-week investigation into the allegations against her.
Following her arrest, Elliot was being held in the Pima County jail.

Kevin Garfield Ricks, 49, an English teacher at Osbourn High School in Manassas, Virginia has reportedly been arrested on allegations that he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old male former student.
According to a Manassas Police Department spokesperson, Ricks was arrested at the end of the school day Thursday and is charged with carnal knowledge, aggravated sexual assault and two counts of indecent liberties with a minor.
Reportedly, Ricks was held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
Ricks came to the attention of police by way of a tip about possible inappropriate conduct with the former student.
One mother has told told ABC 7 News that she warned police and Osbourn’s principal about Ricks in 2008 when he allegedly attempted to meet up with the woman’s son who he reportedly met via MySpace.
Reportedly, Ricks, who has taught at the school for three years, has been placed on unpaid administrative leave by the school system.

According to The Washington Post, its four-month investigation of former Manassas teacher Kevin Ricks’ career as a teacher, tutor, foreign exchange host and camp counselor has revealed a pattern of abuse that goes back to at least 1978 and has left a trail of victims that spans the globe.
07/28/10 – Federal Child Pornography Charges Filed
Federal authorities on Wednesday charged Kevin Ricks with possession of child pornography and transporting it across state lines.
Reportedly the federal charges are an effort to ensure that Ricks is not released from jail after a plea hearing on state charges scheduled for Thursday.

James I. Clancy, 35, an English teacher at Iselin Middle School in Woodbridge, New Jersey has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having sex with a 14-year-old female student.
Reportedly, Clancy was arrested on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
It is alleged that Clancy had sexual intercourse with the girl three years ago.
Clancy, who has reportedly taught at the school for seven years, has been suspended with pay.
04/27/10 – Guilty Plea
Reportedly, James I. Clancy has pleaded guilty to criminal sexual contact and official misconduct in Superior Court, New Brunswick.
Clancy, originally charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, was facing up to 20 years in prison if convicted at trial.
Under the terms of the plea deal between Clancy and prosecutors, he can be sentenced to up to 364 days in Middlesex County Adult Correction Center as part of his probationary term.
Formal sentencing is set for July 26th.
Clancy will have to register as a Megan’s Law sex offender under the terms of the plea deal.
07/27/10 – Sentencing
James I. Clancy has been sentenced to 364 days in jail.
In addition, Clancy must serve five years probation and register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
Clancy is also prohibited from public employment in New Jersey.
