Brian Norman, 34, a history teacher at North Harford High School in Pylesville, Maryland has been arrested and charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree sex offense and threatening an employee of the Board of Education.

It is alleged that Norman had an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old female student on allegations that he took the girl to a mall on several occasions, had conversations on the phone and through AOL instant messaging with the alleged victim and that he slapped her on the buttocks last month.

On October 24th, the day he allegedly slapped the girl’s buttocks it is further alleged that Norman threatened an employee at the school.

Norman is reportedly free on $25,000 bond.

12/21/08 – Brian Norman Found Dead

Brian Norman was found dead of a gunshot wound in his home last night.

Reportedly Norman, who was free on bond, had been sent to a psychiatric facility, however he was released from that facility.

The Baltimore Sun reported:

Before the shooting last night, Norman had expressed to friends that he was distressed.

Police are investigating the death of Brian Norman.

The Baltimore Sun in a report titled, “After war, teacher’s life unraveled” and dated 12/27/08 provides a glimpse into the life, accusations against and suicide of Brian Norman.

William H. Constable, 54, a former volunteer coach for the sailing team at Nantucket High School in Nantucket, Massachusetts has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison on seven counts of sexual exploitation of children and one count of possession of child pornography.

Constable admitted recording himself sexually assaulting at least 30 young girls, some as young as 5-years-old, during annual trips to Southeast Asia over a 14 year period. The sexual assaults are said to have occurred in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Constable came to the attention of police when he left a digital recorder behind after staying in a Cape Cod hotel room. A hotel employee discovered the child pornography and called police.

In addition to 25 years in prison, Constable was also sentenced to serve a life term of supervised release, pay a $50,000 fine, and forfeit property used in his crimes.

10/02/08 – William H. Constable Is Deceased

William H. Constable died while incarcerated in the Metropolitan Detention Center Federal Prison
in New York in August.

In the immediate wake of Constable’s death a prison spokesperson indicated that no cause of death was known but that he was not attacked by other inmates.

An in-depth autopsy was conducted and the medical examiner has now concluded that William Constable died of natural causes, associated with heart disease.

As is so frequently the case, this latest information on William Constable came to our attention by way of a tip from one of our many fine readers and for that we are extremely grateful. We had completely missed news of Mr. Constable’s passing.

Dale Eugene Bowe, 46, director of the marching band at Port Charlotte High School in Port Charlotte, Floria has been arrested on allegations that he performed nonconsensual sex acts on two male students.

Bowe came to the attention of authorities when a 16-year-old boy reported to a school resource officer that Bowe had performed oral sex on the boy, against his will, while the two were on a trip to Disney World.

As the investigation into that allegation was on-going a second boy, a 15 year-old, reported a similar experience when Bowe invited the boy to his home to use his swimming pool.

Follow the first accusation Bowe was ordered off the school campus and prohibited from returning until the case was concluded.

Bowe was arrested Friday and released from jail on $75,000 bond on Saturday. Thus far Bowe has been charged only with the first alleged offense. Arraignment is set for March 3rd.

Media reports now indicate that Bowe has resigned.

3/22/08 – New sex assault charges

Dale Bowe has been arrested on two warrants out of Orange County, Florida. Bowe faces two charges of unlawful sexual activity against a minor.

Bowe is accused of abusing students while on trips to Disney World.

4/01/08 – Released on Bond

Last Friday, Dale Bowe was released from the Orange County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Bowe’s conditions of bail require that he wear a GPS tracking device, avoid Internet searches, stay away from all U.S. theme parks and avoid contact with his alleged victims as well as anyone under age 17.

05/16/08 – Details of Arrest Affidavits Released

Redacted copies of the affidavits for arrest warrants have been released to the news media providing additional details of the prior allegations upon which Bowe was arrested and charged.

06/03/08 – Dale Bowe Dead

Dale Bowe has been found dead with a gun shot wound to the head.

Initial reports indicate investigators believe Bowe’s death is most likely as a result of suicide.
