Andrew Charles Weaver, 28, a former teacher at Brighton High School in Brighton, Colorado has been charged with a felony count of Internet sexual exploitation of a child.

It is alleged that Weaver engaged in sexually explicit conversation with a law enforcement officer posing as a 14-year-old girl, and that he also sent live pictures via the Internet of him rubbing his genitalia.

Allegedly Weaver attempted to induce the “girl” to send nude pictures of herself to him in return.

Bond for Weaver has been set at $25,000 and while Weaver is is allowed contact with his child he is not allowed contact with any other children under 18.

Formal charges are scheduled to be filed against Weaver on April 16th.

According to Weaver’s attorney, Weaver who has been fired by the school, has been teaching for five years, married for seven years, and has a six-month-old child.

04/09/08 - Weaver Continued Teaching

Andrew Weaver continued teaching for a year after he was caught in a law enforcement sting for allegedly e-mailing pictures of his genitals to someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

Investigators say they did not know Weaver was a teacher until last Thursday.

10/17/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Andrew Weaver, in a plea deal with prosecutors, has pleaded guilty to a felony count of attempted Internet sexual exploitation of a child.

Weaver has been sentenced to three years of intensive supervised sex offender probation.

Matthew Lindholm, 32, a former teacher and girls basketball coach at Central High School in Grand Junction, Colorado has been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting one of the team members.

Lindholm is charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, and sexual assault on a child in a position of trust as a pattern of abuse.

Lindholm turned himself in at the Mesa County Jail on Wednesday evening, made an initial court appearance Thursday and was subsequently released on a $10,000 bond. He was required to were a Global Positioning System ankle monitor and is banned from the school.

It is alleged that Lindholm admitted that he kissed the girl romantically and touched her legs and buttocks once when they kissed. Both Lindholm and the alleged victim deny sexual intercourse ever took place between them.

Lindholm’s next court appearance is set for March 4th.

Lindholm resigned his coaching position earlier this month and is on administrative leave from his teaching position.

05/28/08 - Lindholm May Be Off Tracking Device Soon

Matthew Lindholm may be taken off a court-ordered tracking device. The DA’s office has indicated that Lindholm’s attorney will request such a change in his terms of bail at a court hearing on June 10th.

07/30/08 - Guilty Plea

Matthew Lindholm has pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted sexual assault.

Lindholm faces up to 6 years in prison when sentenced on October 6th.

He will be required to register as a sex offender for life.

10/07/08 - Sentencing

Matthew Lindholm has been sentenced to five years of intensive probation.

Lindholm will be required to register as a sex offender.

Lloyd Clark, 73, a substitute teacher at Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado has been arrested on a charge of solicitation for child prostitution after allegedly offering $1,000 to a 15-year-old male student in exchange for oral sex.

Clark who reportedly taught for 40 years and has been a substitute for 11 more is reported as saying the allegations apparently stem from a misunderstanding.

He is free on $10,000 bail.

2/27/08 - Formal Charges

A formal complaint has been filed against Lloyd Clark, charging him with Soliciting Child Prostitution, a class 3 felony.

Reportedly police had the 15-year-old boy call Clark and taped the man arranging a time and place for him to meet the student and pay him $20 for sex.

His next court date is set for April 23rd.

09/17/08 - Guilty Plea

Lloyd Clark has pleaded guilty Wednesday to harassment for propositioning a 15-year-old male student.

Clark’s guilty plea to the misdemeanor was part of a plea agreement with prosecutors under which a felony charge of solicitation for child prostitution was dropped.

Clark was sentenced to one year of supervised probation, ordered him to relinquish his teaching certificate for a year and ordered to have no contact with anyone younger than 18 years old except family members.
