Linda L. Trabucco, 44, an English teacher and assistant principal at Collegiate Academy, a charter school in Littleton, Colorado has been arrested on allegations of carrying on a sexual relationship with a male student throughout his high school years.

Trabucco was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust.

Trabucco came to the attention of authorities on August 13th when the alleged victim, now 21 came forward.

The man allegedly told investigators that the relationship began when he was a freshman at Collegiate Academy and turned sexual in 2003 and continued until his graduation.

Allegations have been made that a second teen aged male may have had a sexual relationship with Trabucco during that same timeframe.

Investigators say they have no information indicating Trabucco has been involved with recent students of the school.

Trabucco has reportedly be placed on paid administrative leave.

Following her arrest, Trabucco was reportedly being held in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Jon William McCarthy, 31, a substitute teacher and coaching assistant at Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Colorado has been arrested on allegations that he had inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile female student.

McCarthy is being held for investigation of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust with a pattern of abuse.

McCarthy came to the attention of authorities after rumors surfaced at the school that he had an inappropriate relationship with a former student.

It is expected that McCarthy will make his first court appearance sometime next week.

04/24/09 – Guilty Plea

Jon William McCarthy has reportedly pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault of a child in a pattern of conduct and two counts of stalking.

Sentencing is set for July 31st.

Reportedly, the stalking charges carry a mandatory prison sentence which will be followed by sex offender intensive supervision probation.

08/13/09 – Sentencing

Jon McCarthy has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

McCarthy was ordered to undergo sex offender intensive supervision for 10 years-to-life once released from prison.

Melissa Snow, 27, a teacher at Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Colorado has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a male student more than once off campus.

Snow was arrested on two counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, one with a pattern of behavior. The latter on allegations of sexual contact between Snow and the boy on more than one occasion.

Snow came to the attention of authorities when a school employee reported the allegation which resulted in the Sheridan and Denver Police Departments conducting a joint investigation.

Ultimately Sheridan Police turned the investigation over to their Denver counterparts as that is where the alleged incident are said to have happened, away from school and not related to a school activity or event.

Following her arrest Snow was released on $50,000 bond.

Snow has been placed on administrative leave by the school system.

11/17/08 – Mellissa Snow Formerly Formally Charged

Melissa Snow has been formerly formally charged with three counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, with one of the three charges alleging a pattern of behavior.

Snow is out of jail on $50,000 bond and is set to appear in court on Nov. 19 to be advised of the charges.

08/05/09 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Melissa Snow, who previously pleaded guilty to attempted sexual assault on a child has been sentenced to 8 years of sex offender intensive supervision probation.

While on sex offender intensive-supervision probation Snow will have to maintain constant contact with the probation department and is prohibited from contact with anyone under 18-years-old unless approved by the probation department.

Additionally, Snow is required to maintain full-time employment and complete a victim empathy course.

Snow is required to register as a sex offender, reportedly for life.
