Christopher Wheat, 36, an assistant swim coach at Lawrence North High School in Lawrence Township, Indiana has reportedly been arrested on allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor.
It is alleged that Wheat kissed and fondled a 14-year-old Lawrence North High School student and swim team member. Reportedly, Wheat who also coaches the Lawrence Swim Team, a non-profit organization that competes in swim matches, has coached the girl since she was 11.
A police spokesman has indicated that Wheat was handcuffed and arrested at the Northside high school’s swimming pool on Monday and that Wheat did not admit any wrongdoing.
Investigators said the inappropriate touching began about five weeks ago, and that the girl’s parents noticed a change in their daughter’s behavior before she told them what had happened.
Reportedly, Wheat is suspended without pay from his job as an assistant swim coach at Lawrence North High School.
Following his arrest, bond for Wheat was set in the amount of $30,000 bond and he was subsequently freed on bond.

Jay T. Harvill, 35, a teacher and softball and volleyball coach at Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Texas has reportedly been arrested on allegations of online solicitation of a minor.
Reportedly, Harvill is charged with a third-degree felony count of online solicitation of a minor.
On Thursday, Texas Attorney General’s investigators and Mansfield Police arrested Harvill at his residence.
It is alleged that Harvill conducted sexually explicit online chats this summer with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl, but who was in reality an undercover investigator with the Texas Attorney General’s Cyber Crimes Unit.
Reportedly, Harvill was placed on paid administrative leave by the school system prior to the beginning of the new school year.
Reportedly, Harvill was freed on $50,000 bond.

Richard A. Neff, 47, girls’ basketball coach at Dundee Middle School in Dundee, Michigan has reportedly been arrested on allegations a sexual relationship with a female student who is now 14-years-old and who was 13 when the alleged relationship began.

Reportedly, Neff has been charged with two first-degree counts of criminal sexual conduct and one count each of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and accosting a child for immoral purposes.
On Tuesday, Neff made an initial appearance before First District Judge Mark S. Braunlich who set bond at $50,000 and ordered Neff to have no contact with the alleged victim and her family and to stay away from the school.
The prosecution, which had sought a $100,000 bond, is alleging that Neff and the girl had a relationship since January, 2009 and that the alleged relationship continued until Friday when they reportedly were caught in a suspicious situation at the school.
Reportedly, a school custodian allegedly caught Neff and the girl in the school last Friday night. The custodian reported the incident to district officials who then alerted police.
Neff is reportedly free on bond and has a preliminary examination set for May 11th.

James Jobin, 21, a coach and substitute teacher at Blue Mountain Union School in Wells River, Vermont was arrested on August 18th on allegations that he tried to solicit sex from a girl under the age of 16.
According to Vermont State Police, Jobin is charged with attempting to lure a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual act and disseminating obscene material to a minor under the age of 16.
At least one news report indicates that the alleged victim is 14-years-old.
Reportedly, Jobin is no longer employed by the school.
Jobin has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Chad T. Burnett, 28, a teacher and coach at Burley High School in Burley, Idaho has reportedly been arrested on allegations of sexual misconduct with a 17-year-old female student.
Reportedly, Burnett was charged Tuesday with three felony counts of sexual battery of a minor 16 to 17 years old and one count of statutory rape.
Allegedly the girl admitted to her mother having a sexual relationship with Burnett from July to November, and that the two engaged in kissing, sexual touching and once engaged in sexual intercourse.
It is further alleged that Burnett and the student sometimes sent as many as 250 text messages to each other a day, some of which included explicit photos of both the alleged victim and Burnett.
Burnett has a preliminary hearing set for December 11th.
01/20/10 – More Charges Filed
An amended criminal complaint has been filed charging Chad T. Burnett, 28, with two more felony counts of sexual battery of a minor 16 to 17 years old, felony statutory rape and felony of use of a child in sexually exploitative material or possession of sexually exploitative material.
Burnett is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges Friday and will attend a preliminary hearing on the first set of charges at the same time.
Burnett is reportedly free on $25,000 bond.

Stephen Rokop, 27, a former freshmen boys basketball coach and a special education paraprofessional at Washington High School in South Bend, Indiana has reportedly been charged on allegations of having sex with a then 15-year-old female teenage student.
Reportedly, Rokop is charged with three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, and two counts of child seduction.
At at initial hearing for Rokop, the court scheduled Rokop’s trial to begin on September 13th. His plea deadline was set for July 27 and a record hearing was scheduled for Aug. 31.
The court lowered Rokop’s bond, originally set at $30,000 to $5,000.
Prosecutors say that Rokop started the relationship with the girl last fall. The alleged victim, now 16, has since transferred to another school.
Reportedly, Rokop was fired by the school system in February.
