Tom Porras, 49, of Scottsdale, AZ, a substitute teacher and assistant track coach at Saguaro High School today entered a not guilty plea on a felony count of sexual abuse, one count of public sexual indecency and one count of assault in a case in which Porras is accused of the sexual assault of a 17-year-old female student.

Porras came to attention of authorities in April when a school resource officer was notified of the alleged incident by school staff. He was arrested at the school. It is alleged that while being interviewed by police, Porras made admissions to the sexual abuse.

The teenager told police Porras, an assistant track and football coach and former professional football player, inappropriately touched her while she was at his house on Wednesday. She told officers she was invited to the home for an “athletic massage,” and during the time she was there, he had unwanted sexual contact with her.

While being interviewed by police, Porras made admissions to the sexual abuse incident, a Class 5 felony if convicted, and public sexual indecency, a Class 1 misdemeanor.

In the wake of the April allegations, Porras was placed on unpaid administrative leave.

(06/11/08 - Initial BBT Report)

Timothy Goerzen, 35, a math teacher at Indio High School in Indio, California has been arrested and booked on an allegation of the sexual battery of a female 12th-grade student.

The allegations center on inappropriate touching and grabbing and came to the attention of police when the alleged victim told a friend, the friend told their parents who contacted the school.

School officials contacted police last Friday.

Goerzen was arrested at the school early Monday morning and was subsequently released on $25,000 bond.

Goerzen has been placed on paid administrative leave from the school system.

08/09/08 - Charges Declined

The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office has declined to file charges against Timothy Goerzen.

A spokesperson for the DA’s office has been quoted as saying, “The reason for this decision is based on the lack of sufficient evidence to warrant such a filing.”

Keith R. Lehocky, 42, of Monticello, Indiana, a teacher at North Judson-San Pierre Liberty Elementary School has been charged with child molestation.

Lehocky was arrested last month on allegations of “fondling or touching” an 11-year-old girl during an over-night party at the home of Lehocky’s sister-in-law in Fishers, Indiana on February 25th of this year.

According to police, the alleged victim along with several other kids were on a bed watching a movie and Keith Lehocky kept coming in and rubbing this girl’s shoulders and telling her she needed to go to sleep. The girl feigned being alseep and at that point it is alleged that Lehocky pulled down the spaghetti strap to her top, exposing her breast, laid down on the bed and began rubbing her chest and the front of her body.

Allegedly Lehocky’s daughter, who was also in the room, told her father to get off of the girl.

Following his arrest Lehocky was released on $10,000 bond and faces up to eight years in prison if convicted.

08/03/08 - Charges Dismissed

Charges against Keith R. Lehocky were dismissed on July 17th when prosecutors files a motion seeing a continuance in the case.

The attorney for the defendant object and the judge dismissed all charges.

Reportedly the state’s attorney maintains a right to refile charges against Lehocky.
