Kenneth Neubert, 34, an art teacher at Fairfield High School, in Fairfield, California has been arrested on allegations that furnished drugs to two 17-year-old students.

Police say that Neubert along with two seniors left the school in his car during the school day and that the threesome smoked marijuana together.

The parents of one of the teens spotted the their child and went to the school administration to determine what was going on. From there the police became involved and allegedly both a small amount of marijuana and drug drug paraphernalia were found in Neubert’s car.

FAIRFIELD: TEACHER ARRESTED FOR SMOKING POT WITH STUDENTS

Naomi Miranda Peters, a 26-year-old, art teacher at Appalachia High School and Appalachia Primary School in Appalachia, VA has been arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

An investigation of Peters alleged improper relationship with an underaged female student has been on-going since March of this year. The current charge against Peters centers on allegations that Peters told another girl, a witness, to lie to investigators regarding Peters relationship with the other girl.

Both the girl with whom Peters is suspected of engaging in an improper relationship and the witness are reportedly under 18 years of age and both are current or former students at Appalachia High School.

Following her arrest Peters was released under a $5,000 unsecured bond and is scheduled to appear in Wise County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Wednesday.

The investigation into Peters suspected relationship with the female victim continues and both Peters and the alleged victim deny any such relationship existed.

Peters is the second Wise County, VA school employee to be under investigation for an improper relationship with a student. Just days ago, Darlene Anna Blagg, a teacher’s aide, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for three felony sexual misconduct counts involving a 17-year-old male student.

Appalachia art teacher set for arraignment

Christopher J. Lehto, 34, of Felton, Delaware, an art teacher at Star Hill Elementary School has been arrested on allegations that he carried on a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old high school student who was at one time a student of Lehto’s.

Detectives became aware of the relationship when a friend of the victim told her mother and the mother contacted state police.

According to a police spokesman Lehto and the student engaged in sexual activity while parked in the parking lot of the Camden Wal-Mart.

Police also say that the victim confirmed that the two had sex on the Wal-Mart parking lot having previously had lunch together.

Charges Dismissed
