Christina Aileen Nixon, a chemistry teacher at Van Buren High School in Van Buren, Arkansas has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having a sexual relationship with a male student.
Reportedly, Nixon has been charged with felony sexual assault.
Investigators say the alleged relationship started over Facebook and through phone texts and that the relationship lasted for several months.
Investigators also allege that that Nixon and the student had sex sometime in June.
Following her arrest, Nixon was reportedly booked into the Crawford County jail on $7,500 bond.
Nixon came to the attention of police when school officials received a tip about the alleged relationship on Wednesday.

Beth Ann Winchester, 33, a substitute teacher/teacher’s aide in the Rogers School District in Rogers, Arkansas has reportedly been arrested on allegations that she had sexual contact with a teenage boy.
Reportedly, Winchester was arrested on a charge of sexual assault in the fourth degree.
Winchester came to the attention of police in February by way of an anonymous tip that Winchester was having sex with boys ranging in age from 15 to 17. Investigators say that the alleged relationships began in Spring of 2009 and continued through January of this year.
Following her arrest, Winchester was released from the Benton County Jail on citation.

David Waldon Paschal, 36, a former history teacher at Elkins High School in Elkins, Arkansas has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having sex with an 18-year-old female student.
Reportedly, Paschal was arrested on four counts of second-degree sexual assault.
It is alleged that the student told investigators she had been having a sexual relationship with Paschal since December of 2009, two months after she began babysitting his kids. The student alleges that Paschal told her not to tell anyone about their relationship or she would get hurt. In May, after having sex with Paschal four or five times, the student went to police for protection.
Police say that Paschal initially denied any sexual relationship. Police also allege that Paschal acknowledged having a close emotional relationship with the girl and to desiring he sexually.
It is also alleged that subsequently Paschal said he and the girl did have a sexual relationship.
Paschal was suspended by the school system on May 5th and the Elkins School Board fired Paschal on May 19th.
Under Arkansas law it’s illegal for a teacher to have sexual contact with any student 20 years-old or younger.
06/04/10 – Case Update
Reportedly, when investigators told Paschal they would be searching his computer and cell phone for evidence linking him to both students Paschal allegedly told authorities they’d probably find some sexually provocative texts between him and a third Elkins High School girl.
Following his arrest, Paschal was being held in the Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Brett Wayne Foster, a volunteer coach applicant at Har-Ber High School in Springdale, Arkansas has reportedly been arrested on allegations of the sexual abuse of a 17-year-old female student.
Reportedly, Foster was arrested yesterday and booked into the Washington County jail on a charge of first degree sexual abuse.
It is alleged that Foster sexually assaulted the alleged victim on March 18th.
Officials with the Springdale School District have indicated that Foster was never an employee of the school system nor was he approved to work as a volunteer at the school.
According to KHBS-KHOG:
Police said Foster had been around long enough to ride on the bus with students to their track meets, and said most students referred to foster as “coach”.
Officials said Foster had applied to work as a volunteer coach, but his paperwork only got as far as the athletic director’s desk.

Brandi Lynn Mullikin, 29, a former math teacher at Star City High School in Star City, Arkansas has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having sexual relationship with a then 17-year-old male student during the summer of 2009.
Reportedly, Mullikin faces a charge of second-degree sexual assault.
Mullikin came to the attention of police by way of the school Superintendent who called to report alleged inappropriate behavior between Mullikin and a senior student.
It is alleged that during interviews with police that Mullikin admitted to having a sexual relationship with the student but claimed that the relationship took place outside the school and that they had only engaged in sexual activity after he turned 18.
Reportedly, when police interviewed the student he initially told them that the sexual relationship started after he was 18, but allegedly admitted later that they began their sexual relationship while he was still 17.
It is further alleged that in a later interview with police, that Mullikin admitted to having a sexual relationship with the student when he was 17 and that she was aware of his age.
Reportedly, Mullikin was initially suspended by the school system and subsequently fired.

Jessica James, 23, a former substitute teacher Beebe High School in Beebe, Arkansas has reportedly been arrested and charged on allegations that she had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old male student.
Reportedly, James was arrested April 8 and charged with 1st-degree sexual assault and after an over-night stay in the White County Jail was released on $50,000 bond.
It is alleged that the sexual relationship occurred during November of 2009, while James was a substitute teacher at the school where the boy was a student.
Reportedly, James was a substitute from September, 2009 until her firing in December.
