(05/27/08 – Initial BBT Report)

Carol Elizabeth Walsdorf, 23, an agricultural science teacher at Nordheim High School in Nordheim, Texas has been arrested on a charge of improper conduct between educator and student.

Walsdorf is accused of having a sexual relationship with a male student at the school.

Walsdorf came to the attention of authorities by way of the school superintendent who contacted Child Protective Services, who in turn contacted the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office.

Following her arrest, Walsdorf was freed on $30,000 bond.

If convicted, Walsdorf faces between 2 and 20 years in prison.

    UPDATE
    This one reached a plea agreement in July 16, 2008.
    Walsdorf pleaded guilty to an improper relationship between educator and student, received five years deferred adjudication, fined $1,000 plus court costs and perform 300 hours of community service. Also banned from teaching and must participate in counseling. The student was very close to 18 yo.
    The Saturday night before her arrest she and the student were involved in a car crash, and Walsdorf was charged with driving while intoxicated.
    I think she had not register as sex ofender, but there is no info about it.
