07/06/09 – Not Guilty

A Middlesex County jury has found Bruce Nealous not guilty.

Reportedly, the trial lasted 6 weeks and the jury required only 40 minutes to find Nealous innocent.

Steven Altman, Nealous’ attorney, said the teen’s allegations simply didn’t stand up to scrutiny.

Altman was also quoted as saying, “We had people come in and pick apart his story. I don’t know why the boy lied, but we had many of his former team members come in and testify for Bruce. I couldn’t believe the outpouring of respect and love the St. Peter’s community had for this man who was accused of sexually assaulting a young boy.”

There is not much I can add to the Guru’s comments. This poor man sat in jail, probably, for a very long time with very little hope of ever being exonerated. I certainly do hope that he sues and wins. Even though he was found to be Not Guilty, I doubt that his credibility will ever be restored.

To those who believe the kids would never make up a lie like this, here’s a prime example of a kid who did exactly that.

Wow that DA should get fired for wasting money, time in court and a man’s life.
It only took 40 minutes!!! to find him innocent.

I pray Mr. Nealous sues the lying ex-victim plus his parents, the police for not investigating the case properly, and the dumb butt DA for accepting the case.
