First of all A Good Teacher,

The State Attorney’s office has yet to call me back. So that is still not proven. I hate to cut and paste…though I cite my sources…

As for your challenge to me, “and I would absolutely love to read the accounts of all the false accusations that lead you to call it a “epidemic of mass proportions”. Grand jury indictments and felony charges are not levied on the basis of unsubstantiated rumors. I will guarantee that you can not support this claim.”

Teachers demand blacklist of pupils making false allegations
    By Richard Garner
    Thursday, 20 March 2008

A blacklist of pupils who have made malicious allegations of sexual abuse or assault against teachers should be compiled and made available to any school to which the pupil subsequently moves, union leaders have demanded.

Occupational Hazard: False Allegations of Child Abuse Against Educators
By Brian Barrido, Esq. and Jay Mykytiuk

A school custodian was accused of sexual abuse by five girls. The charges were later dropped when the girls admitted that they had fabricated the story because the custodian had reported them for vandalizing a restroom. An Assistant Superintendent jumped off a bridge to his death after being accused of abusing a student. He had been cleared of any wrongdoing earlier that day. A social studies teacher was accused of molesting a student during a school field trip. Eleven months later, his name was cleared when his accuser recanted. A nine year-old girl offered to pay each of her friends one dollar if they would accuse her teacher of abuse.
False allegations of child abuse against teachers and other school employees can be economically, emotionally, and financially devastating. It can lead to criminal prosecution and long jail terms. And it is a real phenomenon. One school administrator claims to receive 10-12 false accusations of abuse against teachers every year. Multiplied across the country, this number is staggering and disturbing.

And my personal favorite for you,

Teachers’ Union Speaks Out On False Allegations

The academic Left is largely responsible for this situation. By undermining teachers’ authority, decrying educational achievement as elitist, culturally and politically undermining men in general, and promoting the Cult of the Victim, they have manufactured a culture in which false allegations can flourish. To make matters worse, the Left then denies that false allegations happen at all; any allegation made by a woman or a child - but not a man - must automatically be believed, even without any corroborating evidence. They try to pass this off as a just and progressive system of thought, but I doubt if they believe that themselves, or even care. The real intention is to destroy men. False allegations are an instant silver bullet for ruining a man’s life. Feminists in particular know this, and they like it that way.

Pre-teen girl off the hook for false accusations against teacher
Daily Record, The (Baltimore), Jun 10, 2002 by Alisa Bralove
In February 2000, Heather B. and six other students at Montgomery County’s Roberto Clemente Middle School reported to school officials that a gym teacher had sexually abused female students. The school in turn reported the accusations to the county police.
After a police investigator questioned her regarding inconsistencies in the students’ statements, Heather B. recanted her story.
The state filed a petition with the court.

As for the death threat…yes, I believe that. Bad choice of words on Brian’s part. However, I am sure if my career and my life as I knew it was on the line, I would have threatened as well…not a death threat, but no less I would have threatened to do something…This was HIS life we are talking about.

Please Good Teacher, do not call my bluff again!

    NHHS STUDENT!!!!! Says:

Also there was never increased security at NHHS, teachers just needed to take a walki talki if they took us outside. He obviously prob wasent thinkin straight b/c he was so mad about the false alligations. Also, the principle didnt like him b/c he stood up to him in order to save us from not getting suspended on BS. EXPLAIN THAT! An administrator not taking ur side on BS.

    NHHS STUDENT!!!!! Says:

Norman admitted to taking the girl to the mall and he took her to get a new cell phone. He never admitted to sexual activity, they consider it just “innapropriate” for him to take her somewhere. I was normans student this year, and he never acted unprofesional in any occasion in the classroom. He even spent free time tutoring people at their house, taking them drag racing, etc. Also, she made up the accusations (and i know her) because he rejected her. She wanted him to change her grade, and he rejected her. And she changed her own grade the day he was taken out because he left his grades on the computer. The other charges “who knows?” he never went to court on them. SO LEAVE BRIAN NORMAN ALONE!

    A Good Teacher Says:

Once again you insist that he was falsely accused. By doing so you are blaming an innocent girl. Yes she is innocent because she is a minor and protected by the law.

First of all - my harsh language is in response to one of Brian’s good army buddies who belittled me and my military record. I’ll bet you even he would agree that my reaction was well warranted.

As far as this all being the result of a “false accusation”…

What about the charge that he made death threats to a school employee. Do you remember the increased security at NHHS after that? Was that also a false accusation?

What about the evidence that led to the solicitation of child pornography charge? There was evidence that was presented to a grand jury that resulted in an indictment. Was that faked as well?

What about the emails and texts where Brian asked the girl not to tell her mother about their “relationship”? Were those fabrications?

What about Brian’s own statements to a judge about his involvement with 2 students at NHHS that resulted in his first suicide attempt. Was HE lying then?

And I would absolutely love to read the accounts of all the false accusations that lead you to call it a “epidemic of mass proportions”. Grand jury indictments and felony charges are not levied on the basis of unsubstantiated rumors. I will guarantee that you can not support this claim.

    Penny,
Could you please stop commenting already? You have already plagiarized from other blogs–your credibility as an “independent thinker” was doused with doubt after you copied and pasted your way through another hate-mail. Or what about your false facts from the Bible.

    Good teacher,
In previous logs you have told people to f*** off. Is that the type of educator you are?
Where are your morals and values? You are acting as immature as these “children” that you are condemning for “loving” their teacher. I love and miss Brian as well but not in a romantic way. Grow up. You are truly grasping at straws…

    To everyone else,

I have read countless accounts of students falsely accusing teachers…it is an epidemic of mass proportions. There have been many cases in which more than one person has brought about allegations due to a MULTITUDE of reasons: the teacher was hated, the students wanted the teacher fired…so please keep an open mind here. I am not saying join on the Brian bandwagon, that would make me as bad as those who are falsely accusing. Just please think with logic.

Still even though this isn’t a website “Brian Norman is a Great Guy Commemoration” there are still people who love him who read this site including his family… so stop saying bad stuff about him. Have a heart, he was a great guy!!!!
