Brett Storsved, 38, a science and broadcasting teacher at Garrett Middle School, in Boulder City, Nevada has been arrested on charges of lewdness with a minor.

Storsved has been charged with six felony counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14, as well as one gross misdemeanor count of open and gross lewdness for incidents that allegedly occurred at the middle school during the 2006 to 2007 school year.
A total of seven different female victims, ranging in ages from 12 to 14-years old are alleged.
Storsved came to the attention of police after the school’s principal reported that he had “chest-bumped a female student”.
As police were investigating, additional students came forward with allegations of Storsved patting them on the rear-end, kicking them in the ear-end, poking with his fingers on their stomach or waist.
Reportedly, there have been no allegations of touching underneath the clothing or solicitations of sex although two female students told police that Storsved touched their upper thighs and groin.
12/11/07 - Guilty Plea
Brett Storsved entered into a plea deal with prosecutors under which he pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful contact with a child under 16.
The charge to which Storsved pleaded guilty is a gross misdemeanor on the first offense and Storsved will NOT have to register as a sexual predator. Therefore it would be possible for him to obtain employment as a teacher in another state.

Love the mugshot, very classy.
Do you think he “chest-bumped” anyone after this photograph was taken?

I had Mr. Storsved in the eighth grade, as well as the summer before for a writing class. When I was in the fifth grade he taught the GATE program at King. He was a fun teacher, he was a nice teacher. I think this situation is less of a crime and more of something that was taken the wrong way. I can’t see him doing any of those things with nasty intent. I can, however, see some girls getting mad at him — for whatever reason — and twisting some harmless occurrence.

I had Brett Storseved as a fifth grade teacher and knew him for several years afterwards. When I first heard about this I couldnt believe it, I was in total shock. Never once did I ever see him exhibit this kind of behavior towards me or any other student. I know how girls in Boulder City are and I know how easily rumors can be spread but at the same time it’s hard to explain why 14 year old girls would randomly decided to ruin a man’s life. I still say that Brett Storsved was one of the best teachers I ever had because it is true and nothing can change that. I hope that if these rumors are ture that he somehow finds the strength to get some help and fix whatever problems caused this to happen. If these rumers are not true, I hope for those girls sakes that “they” get some help, and that they know they will live with this on thier concience for the rest of their lives.
