(07/31/08 – Initial BBT Report)

Brent Archie, 31, a coach and history teacher at Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas has been arrested and charged with two counts of improper relationship between an educator and student.

It is alleged that Archie had sexual intercourse and oral sex with the 16-year-old female student between February and March of this year at his Plano home and in a vehicle, but never on school property.

Archie came to the attention of police by way of a counselor at a camp in Colorado who called Richardson police earlier this month.

Bond for Archie was reportedly set at $40,000 on each count and he was still being held in jail as of Thursday evening.

Update – Second Victim Alleged

Police say there is a second sexual abuse victim of Brent Archie.

Police allege that the relationship with the second student began in May 2007 and lasted until July 2008.

Police say that the girl was 15 when she and Archie first had sex and was 17 when they last had sex. Police say Archie and student engaged in sexual intercourse at least 10 times in the coach’s office on school grounds and that they engaged in oral sex at least 30 times in Archie’s home.

Police say that they discovered the second victim today after interviewing her.

08/04/08 – Additional Information

The Plano Courier Star is reporting that Brent Archie confessed to police after failing “a lie detector test” conducted on July 30th.

Archie is currently charged with four counts of engaging in improper relationship between educator and student and reportedly remains jailed on $40,000 bond on each charge.

He is facing charges in both Collin County and Dallas County.

(09/25/09 – Collin County Jury Trial Starts Monday

A jury trial for Brent Archie on two counts of sexual assault in Collin County is set to start Monday.

A jury trial on three counts in Dallas County is scheduled for February 2010.

09/29/09 – Trial Delayed

On Monday, the trial judge delayed the trial of Brent Archie.

The delay was reportedly owning to a full docket.

Archie’s attorney indicated that the court will decide a new Collin County trial date at the end of October.

    its really simple he’s never going to teach again. But hes still a good person
    The girl can move on and go on with her life he cant i personally believe he only liked the excitement of doing something that felt right but was son wrong he felt like a teen again. But thats no excuse anyways at the end of the day we all know whats right and whats wrong and sex and always make huge differences in someones life

    Actually, i am not the one who said these girls approached him in THAT manner, Leslie. The Chief of Richardson Police and the Superintendent for RISD are the ones who said it. You can watch a replay of the press conference they held the day after his arrest, or you can read the affidavits for his case, if you like. They are all available online….
