Bradford Moore

Bradford Rice Moore, a former drama teacher at Aspen High School, in Aspen, Colorado has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
Moore was arrested last year after investigators allegedly found on Moore’s computer over 100 images depicting young girls engaged in sexual acts.
Moore was originally charged with sexual exploitation of a child. Moore pleaded guilty last week to the pornography charge, and prosecutors agreed to drop the exploitation charge.
Moore who had worked for the Aspen School District for 11 years at both the middle school and the high school at the time of his resignation.
Sentencing is scheduled for February 4th and Moore faces a maximum of 18 months in jail, with five years of supervised probation, and a fine of up to $5,000.

Bradford Moore was sentenced to three years of supervised probation, required to register as a sex offender and cannot have a job where he is in contact with children. See the Aspen Times report referenced below for details.

Pitkin County District Court Judge James Boyd in granting what appears to be a “sweetheart sentence” to a local “hero of sorts” should be ashamed, very ashamed, of this perversion of justice which has taken place in his courtroom.
Obviously Bradford Moore is, at least in Aspen, Colorado and in Judge Boyd’s court, above the law of mere mortals.
Not only did Moore receive a sweetheart sentence he previously received a sweetheart charge that enabled the sweetheart sentence.
Possession of even 1 item of child pornography is a FELONY under current Colorado law and was a felony when Moore pleaded guilty. Owing to Moore’s “above the law status” in Aspen, Colorado his plea was BACK DATED to a time when the offense was a misdemenor.
This plea back dating permitted Judge Boyd to give Moore the sweetheart sentence and a figurative kiss on the cheek. This for a an admitted pervert that possessed numerous images of child pornography, some of it of children as young as 6-years-old.
That Aspen loves Bradford Moore, or at least what serves as the criminal justice system of Aspen, Colorado, loves Bradford Moore, is apparent.
That this love affair with a pervert would subvert the criminal justice system is not only a shame, it is an outright disgrace and an affront to law abiding people everywhere…
