(3/19/08 - Initial BBT Report)
Bobby Kennedy, 29, a former youth pastor and teacher at Morningstar Academy, a small charter school in Apache Junction, Arizona accused of molesting several teenage students and who has been a fugitive from justice since August 2005 has been captured.

Early in 2005 Kennedy was accused of inappropriately touching one 15-year-old student, kissing her in a classroom and later trying to kiss her in a janitor’s closet. Subsequently two additional alleged victims came forward including a 14-year-old girl, who said that Kennedy told her and another student that he would fail them if they didn’t take pictures of themselves naked in the school bathroom with his cell phone.
Following his arrest, Kennedy was released after posting $150,000 bail. He disappeared shortly after making bail.
Kennedy along with his wife and their child lived on the run for more than two years. Recently authorities learned that Kennedy and family were living in Lawton, Oklahoma and authorities there were notified and arrested Kennedy. Authorities have indicated that they will pursue additional charges against co-conspirators.
While Kennedy was on the run, his mother and the school’s principal, Carolyn Kennedy, pleaded no contest to charges of failing to report abuse of a minor.
