Baxter Harris, a business education teacher and girls’ basketball coach at Hancock Place High School in Lemay, Missouri has been arrested and charged with two counts of having sex with a student on school property and four counts of furnishing pornographic material to a minor.
It is alleged that Harris had sex with a 17 year old female student in a classroom and behind the gym at the school.
It is further alleged that the 17-year-old and three other female students, using a digital camera and cell phone camera, had taken pictures of themselves, apparently nude, and passed those pictures to Harris in exchange for pictures he allegedly took of himself using the same cameras.
Harris came to the attention of authorities last Thursday when the alleged victim told her parents and authorities.
Harris was removed from the classroom on Thursday and the district is now reportedly in the process of firing Harris and also trying to get his teaching license revoked.
Reportedly Harris was arrested on Friday and subsequently released awaiting warrants and turned himself in to authorities on Monday night.
