Autumn Faulkner, 26, a 7th grade social studies teacher at Elkins Middle School in Elkins, West Virginia has been arrested on allegations that she had sex with a 15-year-old boy, who is a former student of Faulkner.
Faulkner came to the attention of authorities and was arrested Wednesday after an anonymous tip to the state Department of Health and Human Resources.
Faulkner was initially charged with sexual abuse by a guardian and was arraigned on Thursday. Reportedly she is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Investigators say that the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed.
If convicted Faulkner could spend from 10 to 20 years in prison.
04/07/09 – Case Update
Autumn Faulkner appeared in court on Monday and waived her right to a preliminary hearing.
Faulkner’s case will now be turned over to Circuit Court.
Faulkner remains free on $50,000.

Well, all of the people who “know her” have convinced me. I came on here thinking she was guilty without any prior knowledge of her, or her background. But, seeing how well liked and what a warm and caring person she is, how can she possibly be guilty of these atrocious acts?
Damn, it sure is crowded in the dark.

I think that she is the best teacher ever i would no I had her. She is the kind of teacher you can tell anything to and she would keep it with-in the people you want to no. We all miss her!!!xoxo

(Deleted by site moderator) If this is true do you think she may have also been abused ? You never know what deep scars people harbor. I’m not saying she did this but if the courts prove it she needs to pay for her actions. On the other hand if the boy is making this up to be macho he needs to do the time she would have been convicted for. Whats your thoughts, and does any one know any more about her back ground.
