(07/27/09 – Initial BadBadTeacher.com Report)
Anthony Ruiz, 34, a former social studies teacher at Eagle Rock School in Estes Park, Colorado has reportedly been arrested on allegations of the sexual assault of a 16-year-old female student.

Ruiz was arrested last week on one count of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
Reportedly Ruiz came to the attention of authorities when the alleged victim called a member of the school staff and told them about the alleged incident. School officials in turn contacted Child Protective Services and the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department.
It is alleged that Ruiz sexually assaulted the girl once during the month of May and as a result she became pregnant.
Reportedly the alleged victim left the school for academic reasons earlier this month and is now living at the family home in California . Eagle Rock School is reportedly a year-round, residential and full-scholarship school enrolling people ages 15-17 from around the country.
A school spokesperson has indicated that Ruiz was fired Friday night after investigators told school officials that they had interview Ruiz and that he had confirmed in the police interview the girl’s allegations.
Following his arrest Ruiz was reportedly being held without bail in the Larimer County Detention Center.
07/31/09 – Charges Officially Filed
Anthony Ruiz has reportedly been officially charged with sexual assault by a person in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
There are no other allegations of sexual assault against Ruiz and he is reportedly free on $5,000 bond with his first court appearance set for this morning.
08/10/09 – Ruiz Can Move To Florida and Leave Country
Apparently without objection from the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office, Judge Jolene Blair has allowed Anthony Ruiz to not only move to Miami, Floria she has also allowed him to travel to the Dominican Republic for a family vacation.
Ruiz is supposed to travel back to Larimer County for his next court appearance September 22.
09/23/09 – Preliminary Hearing
On Tuesday, preliminary hearing was held for Anthony Ruiz and the judge ruled there is enough evidence against Ruiz to support the charge of sexual assault on a minor by a person in a position of trust and to send the case to trial.
Ruiz will appear in court again on November 20th for arraignment.

Here we go again with the same beard and mustache! A mere coincidence, or a manifestation of the mind of a child molester? I’m beginning to think there may be something to this.
As with K I also consider that place a home. It is a place that you can always go back to and find open arms. The fact that this occured is mind blowing as it is a place intended to always serve as refuge for just such circumstances. And for all those arguing I am sure there is little hidden and little to question these are honest straight forward people.
OK somebody (* *)-we can all have our own opinions.and i guess you know what they say about opinons?
Sad news for people who love this school… I once considered this place safer than my own home. It became my home and staff and students became family. I hope that love we all share for this school helps everyone get thru this.
easteregg – this site does not provide the content, in case you haven’t noticed. To not believe ANYTHING on here is to not believe literally hundreds of news agencies that this site draws it’s content from. There’s healthy skepticism and then there’s silliness.
