Anthony J. Hirsch

Hirsch, 32, a teacher’s aide for special education students at Waunakee Middle School in Waunakee, Wisconsin has been arrested on suspicion of downloading child pornography from a group of Web sites being monitored by federal investigators.
On December 28th members of the Madison Police Department arrested Hirsch for Possession of Child Pornography and executed a search warrant at Hirsch’s residence during which time police reportedly seized a computer, sex toys and other items.
Hirsch came to the attention of Madison police based on information that was provided by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Madison detectives learned that Hirsch was a subject of interest in the investigation of a commercial child exploitation website involving member-restricted access to at least 18 different child exploitation websites.
Hirsch is currently employed as an educational assistant for special education children at Waunakee Middle School. He formerly worked in a similar capacity at Madison La Follette High School.
Following his arrest MPD detectives immediately contacted the Waunakee School District. The Madison Metropolitan School District has also been notified. Computers seized in the search of Hirsch’s residence are being examined for evidence of child pornography by the Computer Forensic Shared Resources partnership. This is a joint effort between the Dane County Sheriffs Office and the Madison Police Department.

WKOW reports that Madison school officials agreed to keep secret from the Department of Public Instruction Anthony Hirsch’s alleged inappropriate touching of a student, despite a state law requiring school officials to report any reasonable suspicions of immoral conduct to DPI.
06/06/08 - Not Contest Plea
Anthony Hirsch entered a no contest plea and was found guilty Thursday of a charge of repeated sexual assault of a child.
As part of the plea deal between Hirsch and prosecutors, two counts of possession of child pornography were dismissed.
Hirsch will be sentenced later, after a pre-sentence investigation by the Department of Corrections is completed.

Tony was my boyfriend for 2 years. I always new there was something up with him, when he left me unsatisfied in bed he would go on the computer and look at porn. I never new what kind of porn it was but he was a bit obsessed with it. I loved tony very much but i can’t anymore, he broke my heart.
