Anthony Baker, 36, a former librarian at Muncie Elementary School in Leavenworth, Kansas has been sentenced to 17.5 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.
In October of last year, Baker pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography in a case involving a 10-year-old girl as the victim.
Baker came to the attention of authorities when his wife discovered he was chatting over the Internet with underage girls and collecting pornography that included sexual images of children. His wife turned his computer over to law enforcement and investigators discovered images of Baker and the girl performing oral sex on one another and photos of him penetrating the girl.
At the time of his arrest Baker had worked for the school system for 10 years, first as a teacher and later as the school librarian.
In addition to the prison term Baker will also have to register as a sex offender and serve 20 years of supervised release after he gets out of prison.
Baker also faces numerous state charges arising from his sexual abuse of a child.

Oh, and shall I mention your precious French and Argentian girls? I always knew you favored them, but never did I imagine how sick you actually were. You were so “charming” that you even had the mom fooled, didn’t you? Well, now you’re locked up and for quite some time. Hopefully, karma doesn’t bite you in the ass and have your cell mate be as friendly with you as you were with them.

I was one of ur students and you got issues!!!! I can’t believe u did that!! I thought u were real nice!!!! so thats why u had a camera behind ur desk all the time wit pictures behind ur desk!!!! Dang ANTHONY!!! i don’t call “not respectful guys” Mr. Baker!!!!!! WOW ur wierd!!!!!
… this is really troubling… i was also one of baker’s students. he was one of the few teachers i looked up to. he had helped me through alot of hard times at home, taught me to read more challenging books, helped form me into the woman i am today and even, at one point, stopped me from breaking my neck on a bike. he had a huge impact on my life, and i was really shocked to have read this. i had wondered about him every day since my move from leavenworth… so i googled him. and this was the first link that came up… wow. im honestly shocked and i feel extreamly dissapointed in this man who i used to think of as a caring adult… now, thinking about it, im glad he was put behind bars. im happy his careful charades were put to a sad, dissapointing end.

That was my teacher at one point. Everyone loved Mr.Baker, and he loved all the kids. Seeing this really (******) me off to know that he betrayed a lot of us. . .
It’s a sad thought, really. But that’s life.

Any man who ends up in the library profession is usually someone who is disturbed, eccentric, has failed at everything else, or is otherwise abnormal.
I’m surprised that there actually aren’t more male librarians convicted of child abuse!
Most males who enter the librarian profession tend to have one or more things wrong with them (sexual, other psychological, or just palin weirdness).
While it’s never safe to generalize, always be very wary of the male librarian!
