(04/04/08 - Initial BBT Report)

Andrew Charles Weaver, 28, a former teacher at Brighton High School in Brighton, Colorado has been charged with a felony count of Internet sexual exploitation of a child.

It is alleged that Weaver engaged in sexually explicit conversation with a law enforcement officer posing as a 14-year-old girl, and that he also sent live pictures via the Internet of him rubbing his genitalia.

Allegedly Weaver attempted to induce the “girl” to send nude pictures of herself to him in return.

Bond for Weaver has been set at $25,000 and while Weaver is is allowed contact with his child he is not allowed contact with any other children under 18.

Formal charges are scheduled to be filed against Weaver on April 16th.

According to Weaver’s attorney, Weaver who has been fired by the school, has been teaching for five years, married for seven years, and has a six-month-old child.

04/09/08 - Weaver Continued Teaching

Andrew Weaver continued teaching for a year after he was caught in a law enforcement sting for allegedly e-mailing pictures of his genitals to someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

Investigators say they did not know Weaver was a teacher until last Thursday.

10/17/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Andrew Weaver, in a plea deal with prosecutors, has pleaded guilty to a felony count of attempted Internet sexual exploitation of a child.

Weaver has been sentenced to three years of intensive supervised sex offender probation.

    Weaver you’re still the man! You were a badass PE coed teacher and I know you’re innocent! Get money! You call the offense better btw. Love you!
