Andres “Andy” Villasana

Andres “Andy” Villasana, varsity softball coach and social studies teacher at Sinton High School, in Sinton, Texas has resigned following his arrest on allegations that he had an improper relationship with one of his students.

Villasana is accused of having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old female student. A 2003 Texas law prohibits school employees from engaging in sexual acts with students, even if the student has attained the age of consent.

Villasana was arrested Friday and held in the Patricio County Jail. He was released on $30,000 bond on Monday.
