Alison Diane Ivey, 28, a marketing teacher at Baldwin County High School in Milledgeville, Georgia turned herself in today after a warrant was issued for her arrest on an allegation of the sexual assault of a 17-year-old male student.
Ivey is accused of having sex with the 17-year-old boy with the alleged sexual activity occurring since Christmas.
Following her arrest Ivey was held in the Baldwin County jail on $25,000 bond.
3/21/08 – Addition Info
Ivey was released on $25,000 bond Thursday night.
Alison Ivey is the daughter of Baldwin County School Board Chairman Judy Ivey.
She has been placed on paid administrative leave pending further action on the part of the school board.
3/25/08 – Ivey Resigns
Alison Ivey submitted her letter of resignation sometime last week before she was placed on paid administrative leave in connection with the incident. Her resignation is reportedly effective at the end of the current school year. She will remain on administrative leave until that time.
10/15/08 – Grand Jury Indictment
Court records indicate that a Baldwin County grand jury has indicted Alison Ivey on five counts of sexual assault.
Ivey is accused of performing oral sex on a then 17-year-old student and having sexual intercourse with him twice.
07/08/09 – Charges To Be Dismissed
Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Fred Bright has announced that charges against Alison Ivey would be dismissed within a day or two as a result of a Georgia Supreme Court ruling that in essence permits teachers to have consensual sex with students age 16 and older.

Charges against the beautiful Alison Ivey have been dropped. It is legal for a teacher to engage in sexual intercourse with a student over the age of 16 in the State of Georgia. Good for her! (I bet he enjoyed it as well!).
From my experience, yes, smooth talk usually works. If necessary beer helps too. In fact it’s even easier after a couple of beers. Some get down right agressive and can’t wait until you get them home. To show my respect for these women, and for my protection I always wear a condom when I hit it. How about you?
Peter Rabbit…are you suggesting that women have no concept of beguile and can be persuaded to ‘drop their pants’ at suggestion? I’m pretty sure many women would disagree and argue against you on that point. Especially since there are over 4.4 million female teachers in the United States and that the number of women that are arrested is a minimal (though not acceptable) percentage. In other words, I think your “smooth talker” theory is bulls$#%.
Why is it always about what the teacher did to the student? What about what the student did to the teacher? It takes to do what they did, but it always falls on the teacher. In many cases it’s the male student that smooth talks his way into the female teacher’s pants, but it the teacher who takes the fall, while the student who got his rocks off has bragging rights.
Well nothing more has happened. She hasn’t even been indicted.

Ms. Ivey sounds like she was stupid. Even if she is a good teacher like you said, you would have to be dumb to put yourself in the position where someone could make false statements against you. Not only that, but to make them where they get you arrested and plastered on here along with the other loser teachers.
Ok, the point of the matter is I have known about this for a long time. It is not made up and she has been doing it since she got here 3 years ago,i even knew when I was in oak hill, and it is alot more than one person. My brother works with the sheriff department, and my step brother is dispatch. The fight at school last friday (day after she turned herself in) was because of her. Two guys jumped on the dude that told on her because they liked having sex with her. They were all members of the football team. A matter a fact they now have her linked to 3 people. So all of you people that don’t believe it, take a dose of reality.
EASTEREGG! look you have no room to sit there and ask if ms. ivey is our english teacher because obviously you can’t spell either get a DANG LIFE PLEASE. your probably what 40 years old sitting on your computer! I don’t remember not knowing Alison. Her family is close to my family. But the truth of the matter is this is something I first heard about 3-4 years ago. When I heard about it then I defended Alison because she is a friend. I don’t know if the student became upset and reported it this time, but this is an old allegation made by a new person. I know Alison pretty well and if it’s true, I believe she may honestly have a mental problem. The Alison I grew up with and attended school with would have never done anything like this in her right mind. But I think we all need to be honest that’s from Baldwin, this is not the first time we heard this about Alison. I really empathasize for her family.

All I have to say is people who don’t know her situation besides the fact that she was arrested, need to stop making up accusations just to be saying something. This is outrageous! You can’t go around spreading rumors and expect nobody to think you’re serious. The whole situation is Baldwin is short on teachers and for her to be out because of allegations is not helping our school as a whole. Ms. Ivey is a great teacher, she has helped out so many kids at this school through so many unique situations and for her to be in this situation is not only ludicrous but idiotic. This has made our school, an already corrups place, in a sense worse because now we have police patrolling the halls and questioning students when they should be in class (we have graduation testing next week) it just makes our school enviroment uncomfortable… I don’t care what anybody says, Ms. Ivey is a great person and now all anybody is going to be able to say is she a sex offender and that’s really sad…

Look if you think baldwin high school is so bad look at all these other schools that this has happened to. Just because they have a “statement” from a CHILD! How they hell can you sit there and let what people say effect the damn truth!Ms. Ivey has been a great teacher for this past year a DECA leader and a friend to everyone! Ms. Ivey has also been a family friend to my grandmother and mother they have known Ms. Ivey forever! I CAN’T STAND YOU IGNORANT PEOPLE who sit on here day after day on your b*** just waiting for something like this to pop up and then comment on it when you will NEVER know the situation.

if you don’t know here then don’t take about her jezz i can’t even begin to explain that i am going though trying to that this all in. she is my teacher and has been for the past year. i can’t believe that she would ever do something like this. she helps the kids at our school and she really cares about them. she hAs really helped me though some really hard times and i just can’t believe this til i have proof real proof. not just someone saying it!
