Alex Mayo, 32, a second and third grade teacher at Rilke Schule German Charter School in Anchorage, Alaska has been charged with child molestation in Snohomish County, Washington.
Mayo was charged in December with the alleged sexual abuse of a 9-year-old boy in Washington state in 1999.
He is currently under investigation on similar allegations in Anchorage.
Reportedly none of the accusations involve Mayo’s students or illicit behavior on school property. All of the alleged victims were the children of friends of Mayo.
Mayo has worked for the Anchorage School District since 2000 and has taught at Muldoon Elementary, Village Charter School and North Star Elementary.
Mayo has been suspended by the Anchorage School System and is currently free on bond in Washington. He is not permitted to leave the state or to be around children.
Anchorage Police have forwarded the results of their investigation to the district attorney’s office with a recommendation that Mayo be charged with three counts of second-degree child molestation.
08/31/08 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Alex Mayo in a plea deal with prosecutors in both Washington and Alaska has pleaded no contest to a felony count of sexually molesting a 9-year-old child in Washington.
As part of the plea deal, Mayo was sentenced to 51 months in prison, he must never teach again and is prohibited from contact with his victims.
Prosecutors in Alaska dropped charges against Mayo as part of the plea deal with prosecutors in Washington.

Are you kidding me amanda you don’t know what your talking about, This man mulasted me when i was 8 year’s old and he is not serveing time for doing what he did to me, is he no, i think he need’s to be gone you might not care about anyone and how anyone feel’s but i’m 15 year’s old now and i’m dreaming of this guy, i can’t sleep during night some night’s i wake up to nightmear’s to him. Sence that day on from me haveing this happen to me, i can’t go to school i’m home schooled, i can’t stand counsuling, i don’t think anyone could help me, He’s a sick guy that need’s to be in jail. he isn’t going there for what he did to me, because no one beleived me when i said something the (next) day the office didn’t beleive me my parent’s didn’t, but my parent’s regrat it now because they know i’m telling the truth, i’m old enough and i still remember every little thing, so you don’t come in here saying he doesn’t deserve what he’s in because no kid should suffer of being mulested rapped, none of that none and if you say it’s okay your a sick minded women.
you people have no idea what u are talking about. I myself was molested and have been raped. I do not wish horrid things on those who harmed me. That will never ammend the pain and hurt that I have lived with most of my life. And where is it your place to judge? The problem with our society is that we all think we are perfect. Wait til you screw up one day, or know someone who has been wrongly accused. This society really has some growing up to do.

This person sickens me……BUT, what sickens me more is the Anchorage School District’s reply five years ago when the parents of an eight year old female student of Mr. Mayos’ class at Muldoon Elementary, filed a complaint. The principal told the parents that she will be sticking behind her teacher and that 8 year olds make up stories!!!!! That is incrediable!! I’m a former Mat-Su School Board Member and received a call from the same parents who now have their child in Mat-Su Schools. There complaint is NOW being reviewed!!! Shame on the Anchorage School District for their inability to take action 5 years ago.
