Alex Diaz, 37, a teacher at Bell High School in Bell, California has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a female student.
It is alleged that Diaz has sex with a now 18-year-old female student when she was 17-years-old.
Diaz came to the attention of authorities when deputies allegedly discovered Diaz and the girl in the back seat of a car in a Carson, CA parking lot on the night he was arrested.
Following his arrest, Diaz was released on $20,000 bail.
06/12/08 - Court Appearance
Alex Diaz made a court appearance today and pleaded not guilty today to nine felony counts.
His next court appearance is set for July 23, when a date is scheduled to be set for a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence to require him to stand trial.
Diaz remains free on $20,000 bond.
08/26/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Alex Diaz pleaded guilty today to sex crimes involving a teenage female student and was sentenced to six months in jail and five years formal probation.
Diaz pleaded guilty to three counts of unlawful sex with a minor, one count of oral copulation of a person under the age of 18. He also pleaded no contest to two counts of sodomy.
As conditions of probation Diaz must register as a sex offender, attend a yearlong sexual battery program, undergo individual psychotherapy and not being around anyone under 18 other than the newborn son he has with his wife.
Diaz must surrender to begin his sentence on September 26.

This is unfair, he was my teacher and i learned many things with he, He was the only one that listened me, and the only one who gave advice and only beaitiful things. Meat is weak, and it has a price.

its kind of ironic that he was honored at homecoming just a couple of months before and then this happened…
