Alan P. Hubbard, a Los Angeles Unified School District administrator, has surrendered to face charges that he withheld evidence against Steve Thomas Rooney charged with sex-related crimes involving female students.
It is alleged that Hubbard knew about a romantic relationship between Rooney and a student who Rooney met while he was working at Foshay Learning Center and that Hubbard deliberately did not report it.
It is further alleged that Hubbard engaged in dissuading the girl from reporting the relationship to authorities.
Hubbard, the third current or former Foshay staff member to be charged with felony crimes in recent months, has been on administrative leave for about a month according to the school district.
Hubbard is scheduled for arraignment tomorrow on one felony count each of obstruction of justice and being an accessory after the fact.
