Adam Glen Albrecht
Adam Glen Albrecht, 29, of Broadmoor, California and a music teacher at San Bruno’s Capuchino High School has been arrested on numerous charges alleging the sexual abuse of one of his students.
Albrecht was arrested on 35 felony charges of oral sex and unlawful sexual intercourse and four misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The offenses are alleged to have taken place between December, 2006 and June, 2007 and the alleged victim is a 17-year-old female student.
The relationship came to the attention of authorities by way of a tip to San Bruno police who contacted Broadmoor Police. The offenses are alleged to have taken place at Albrecht’s residence, inside a vehicle and at two other residences
Albrecht is being held in the San Mateo County Jail on $500,000 bond.
Update 07/02/07:
This afternoon Adam Glen Albrecht appeared in Mateo County Superior Court and entered not guilty pleas to 16 felony counts of oral copulation with a minor, 16 felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and to single counts of of witness dissuasion, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Authorities indicate that several instances between Albrecht and the teen involved alcohol and one also involved marijuana.
Albrecht remains held on $500,000 bail in San Mateo County Jail. A bond reduction hearing is set for Thursday, July 5th and a preliminary hearing is set for July 16th.
Update 07/06/07:
On July 5th, Judge Carl Holm reduced Albrecht’s bond amount from $500,000 to $100,000. The defense had asked that bail be reduced to $35,000 and the prosecution asked that it be unchanged.
In reference to the alleged affair between Albrecht and the 17-year-old student, Judge Holm said, “Love is blind. Love is stupid sometimes”.
Albrecht if convicted of all charges would face a maximum sentence of 38 years in prison. Prosecutors say the typical sentence would range from probation to six years.

MR. A IS EXACTLY WHERE HE SHOULD BE. I WAS IN HIS CHOUR
IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME THAT HE ENDED UP IN JAIL. I WAS IN HIS CHOIR CLASS AND HE USED TO SINGLE ME OUT SO BAD AND LET ME GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING. IT WAS THE CLASS JOKE THAT HE LIKED ME, AND THE MORE HE COMMENTED ON MY LOOKS AND ASKED ABOUT MY PERSONAL LIFE THE MORE I DISLIKED HIM. MY FRIENDS AND I WOULD TALK DURING CLASS, THEY WOULD ALL GET SENT TO THE OFFICE AND I WOULD BE FORCED TO SIT NEXT TO HIM AND HAVE TO SPEND LUNCH DETENTION WITH HIM. THE THING THAT TOPPED HIS ODD INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR OFF THE MOST WAS 6 MONTHS AFTER I GRADUATE. HE EITHER MEMORIZED WHERE I LIVED OR LOOKED ME UP IN THE STUDENT RECORDS BECAUSE HE SHOWED UP UNANNOUNCED AT MY HOUSE. HE ASKED ME WHY I NEVER WENT TO VISIT HIM AFTER I GRADUATED, HE MEMORIZED WHERE I WORKED AND SAID HE WANTED TO GO VISIT ME AT WORK, AND HE SAID THE MAIN REASON HE STOPPED BY WAS TO SEE IF I WANTTED TO GO WITH HIM TO WATCH A CAP BASKETBALL GAME BECAUSE THE BAND WAS PERFORMING. THANK GOD I HAD WORK AND COULDN’T CHAT LONG, AND FORTUNATELY I MOVED TWO WEEKS LATER SO HE COULDN’T STALK ME ANYMORE. I DON’T KNOW WHAT HE WAS THINKING.

umm hello people! wake up! this was a 17 year-old girl, she can make her own decisions, I mean one more year and this whole situation wouldn’t have happened to begin with. He isn’t a bad guy, and no one would have thought so, he just happened to get caught. It took two people to make those phone calls and plan their little meetings, and I’m sorry but her innocence must have been lost way before Mr. A because if she was able to do this since December then she knew what she was doing completely. I do think it was inappropriate for him to do as a teacher of that student and that he should have waited until she turned 18 AND graduated, but other than that it’s just sad that he wasted all of his musical talent for some teenage sex.

When you think of teachers you think of the ones that are suppose to help guide you to get ready for the real world. You don;t see them as just human beings, you see them as perfect people that don’t make mistakes since after all they are the teachers right. Well who ever said teachers were perfect. I had Mr. A as a teacher my Senior year at Cap, and I never thought any teacher of mine would do such a thing like this. It just goes to show you the worst thing can happen to people right in front of there very eyes. Mr. A you should be ashamed of yourself and not even call yourself a man or a teacher. Whether you believe it or not many people look up to him and he has given them a bad example of what they should want to be like when they actually get into the real world.
All I can say is he committed an act that should not go unpunished, and i hope while he is in jail that he thinks about the innocence he took from a child. Yes, she is a child. Seventeen your still trying to get a sense of who you are. This girl will never gain her innocence back, but she still has hope for a brighter future.
