Daniel Charles Brock, 35, principal of Silver State Christian School in Morrison, Colorado has been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a student.

Reportedly Brock has been under investigation since February when staff member at Silver State Christian School contacted police with concerns about Brock’s relationship with the alleged victim.

Brock was arrested on Friday on suspicion of sexual assault of a child.

He made an initial court appearance today at which time his bail was set in the amount of $10,000 and is conditioned upon no possession of alcohol or drugs, and no contact with children under 18 except his own, and then only with supervision.

Reportedly Brock has been placed on administrative leave with pay by the school.

Investigators have not disclosed details about the case including the age and gender of the alleged victim and the arrest affidavit has reportedly been sealed. However, at least one news media report indicates that some parents have accused Brock of engaging in graphic, inappropriate sexual conversations with several male students.

Brock is due back in court April 16th.

06/18/09 – Additional Case Details

According to cbs4denver.com, the Daniel Brock case involves the alleged fondling of two male students by then Principal Daniel Brock.

Brock was reportedly fired by the school on May 31st.

The school has had prior incidents involving school employees, in one case a maintenance man and in another a school bus driver, victimizing students. In both instances the accused were convicted and imprisoned.

02/09/10 – Not Guilty Verdict

On Friday, a jury acquitted Daniel Charles Brock on all charges.

At trial, Brock testified in his own defense.

Michael Miller, 36, former band director at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School in Bamberg, South Carolina has reportedly been arrested on allegations of a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old female student.

In Bamberg County Miller is reportedly charged with two counts each of lewd act on a minor under 16 and second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. There is is alleged that Miller twice engaged in sexual intercourse with the alleged victim in the school band room during August and December 2009. In this case, bond for Miller was set at $20,000 with a ten-percent option.

In Orangeburg County Miller is reportedly charged with counts of sexual contact with a minor. In Orangeburg County it is alleged that Miller engaged in sexual activity with the alleged victim in Miller’s residence twice during December 2009. In this case bond for Miller was set at $50,000 with no ten-percent option, although such was requested by Miller’s attorney.

Miller came to the attention of authorities by way of a complaint from the family of the alleged victim.

Michael Miller and his wife Denise Miller, who is an assistant principal at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, were both placed on administrative leave by the school system when the allegations against Michael Miller surfaced. Michael Miller has reportedly resigned from the school system.

Reportedly, Miller had not posted bond in either county and was being held at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center.

Timothy Sanders, 41, a second-grade teacher at Ford Road Elementary School in Memphis, Tennessee has reportedly been arrested on allegations that he was caught trying to have sex with a 17 year old boy in a public park at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Reportedly, Sanders is charged with solicitation and sexual exploitation of a minor.

It is alleged that an officer on routine patrol saw Sanders’ vehicle parked and upon investigation allegedly found Sanders with a 17 year old boy. It is further alleged that Sander’s private parts were exposed and he was ready for sex with the partially clothed boy.

It is also alleged that Sanders went to the boys home to pick him up and had previously sent him sexually explicit text messages.

Reportedly, the parents of the alleged victim were contacted and have indicated that they wish to press charges against Sanders.

Reportedly, Sanders, who met the victim on MySpace, has been suspended without pay by the school system.

Following his arrest, Sanders was reportedly being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Daniel Acker, 61, an aquatics coordinator for the West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation Department in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting boys for more than three decades.

The alleged victims are boys who ranged in age from 7 to 15-years-old when the crimes were committed between the 1970’s and 2008.

Police say that Acker may have committed hundreds of sexual assaults on dozens of victims over a period of four decades.

Acker came to the attention of authorities when the West Allis West Milwaukee School District tipped off Greenfield police after an adult came to them claiming that Acker assaulted him years ago. Police started an investigation and found four alleged victims, all now in the 40’s, who allege that Acker sexually assault them.

Police say that they also have evidence that Acker who also worked with at-risk children at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex preyed on boys he met there as well.

Police also have interviewed an 19-year-old man who them that he and Acker started having sex when he was 15 or 16 and that he and Acker are still in a sexual relationship. As a result of this alleged sexual relationship, police took Acker into custody on charges of sexual assault of a child.

Acker’s duties included setting up the swim schedule and coordinating lifeguards and instructors for the department’s four pools, at Nathan Hale and Central high schools and Frank Lloyd Wright and West Milwaukee middle schools.

West Allis West Milwaukee School District said Acker has been suspended since Monday.

04/06/09 – More Charges Filed

Late Friday afternoon, prosecutors charged Daniel Acker with new counts of assault, enticement and producing child pornography on allegations that he sexually assaulted, tied up and photographed a boy during the early 1990s.

Reportedly Greenfield police spent more than four hours on Thursday searching Acker’s Waukesha condominium looking for any secret compartments that may have been used to hide child pornography.

9/29/09 – No Contest Plea

Daniel Acker has, in a plea deal with prosecutors, pleaded no contest to sex assault charges.

Under the terms of the plea agreement Acker will be sentenced to 15 years in prison. He faced up to 40 years in prison if convicted at trial.

Formal sentencing is set for January.

02/08/10 – Sentencing

Reportedly, Daniel Acker has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Acker will be required to serve eight years on extended supervision after he is released from prison.

Acker’s sentence was longer than the 15 years the prosecution had requested and the eight-to-12-year term suggested by defense attorney Robert Peterson.

Sean Lee Catron, 38, a biology teacher at Stilwell High School in Stilwell, Oklahoma was charged, on November 3rd, with three counts of second-degree rape and a count of sexual battery.

Catron was arraigned in Adair County District Court on the charges yesterday.

According to prosecutors, the charges involve two female students at Stilwell High School, allegedly victimized by Catron, with the alleged incidents said to have taken place this year at both the school and at Catron’s residence.

Catron came to the attention of authorities when one of the alleged victims told a parent about the alleged incident and Stilwell Police were contacted.

A preliminary hearing has been set for December 9th to determine if the charges against Catron will go forward.

Catron has been suspended by the school system and a hearing concerning his employment is reportedly expected to be held next week.

Catron’s attorney Tim Baker maintains his client’s innocence and says the girls fabricated the allegations in retaliation for Catron giving one of the girls a failing grade.

Court records indicate that Catron was released on bond totaling $100,000.

02/08/10 – Charges Dismissed

Today, court records have been updated to indicate that all charges against Sean Catron have been dismissed.

The court records indicate that the charges were dismissed because “neither of the alleged victims desire for this case to be prosecuted”.
