Alex Mayo, 32, a second and third grade teacher at Rilke Schule German Charter School in Anchorage, Alaska has been charged with child molestation in Snohomish County, Washington.

Mayo was charged in December with the alleged sexual abuse of a 9-year-old boy in Washington state in 1999.
He is currently under investigation on similar allegations in Anchorage.
Reportedly none of the accusations involve Mayo’s students or illicit behavior on school property. All of the alleged victims were the children of friends of Mayo.
Mayo has worked for the Anchorage School District since 2000 and has taught at Muldoon Elementary, Village Charter School and North Star Elementary.
Mayo has been suspended by the Anchorage School System and is currently free on bond in Washington. He is not permitted to leave the state or to be around children.
Anchorage Police have forwarded the results of their investigation to the district attorney’s office with a recommendation that Mayo be charged with three counts of second-degree child molestation.
08/31/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Alex Mayo in a plea deal with prosecutors in both Washington and Alaska has pleaded no contest to a felony count of sexually molesting a 9-year-old child in Washington.
As part of the plea deal, Mayo was sentenced to 51 months in prison, he must never teach again and is prohibited from contact with his victims.
Prosecutors in Alaska dropped charges against Mayo as part of the plea deal with prosecutors in Washington.
