Danny Brian Giacomo, 37, former band directory at Hilldale High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma accused of raping and sodomizing two Hilldale students when they were 14 and 15 lost another court battle today.

Giacomo’s attorney was seeking to quash a search warrant resulting in collection of DNA evidence from a former Hilldale band director and his office chair. The judge ruled that the search warrant for the DNA evidence was sufficient and that the evidence would be allowed at trial.

The court also joined the two felony cases into one case that is to go to trial March 3 in Muskogee County District Court.

Giacomo is facing eight sex-related felonies and one misdemeanor count in Muskogee County and five counts of second-degree rape and one count of forcible sodomy in an unrelated case in Custer County.

Jerry Michael Bounds, 65, a substitute teacher at Belleview Elementary School in Belleview, Florida has been arrested and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior on a child.

It is alleged that Bounds touched an 8-year-old girl inappropriately while they were in class on November 30 and December 11.

It is further alleged that Bounds touched the girl on her buttocks and private area while she was standing next to his desk.

Bounds came to the attention of authorities when the girl did not want to return to school following Christmas break, this on fears that her regular teacher would not be present. When asked about her concerns she told her mother of the alleged sexual abuse.

Reportedly Bounds has been a substitute teacher at the following schools: Belleview Elementary School, Belleview-Santos Elementary School, Harbour View Elementary School, Stanton-Weirsdale Elementary School, Belleview Middle and High schools and Forest High School.

1/31/08 – Apparent Suicide

Jerry Michael Bounds, free on $30,000 bond, was found dead today of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound as sheriff’s investigators were preparing to arrest him on charges involving two children at Stanton-Weirsdale Elementary School.

Detectives say it appears Bounds shot himself with a small-caliber revolver.

Bounds body was discovered this afternoon inside the bathtub at his home.

Thomas Eric Allen Jr., a 7th grade social studies teacher at Canton Middle School in Canton, North Carolina has been arrested on allegations that he solicited sex on the Internet from undercover police officers posing as a young boy.

Allen came to the attention of authorities after he allegedly posted ads seeking young boys on Craignslist.com.

Allen was arrested after a online correspondence in which he planned to meet someone he thought was a 15-year-old boy,

Following his arrest, Allen who has been suspended without pay by the school system, was released on $6,000 bond.

Allen Dismissed From School System

Thomas Allen Jr. no longer has a job with Haywood County Schools.

A school spokesman says that Allen is currently being dismissed and information will be forwarded to the Department of Public Instruction for a decision on whether or not Allen’s teaching certificate is maintained or revoked.
